75,000 Pounds Of Squash Spills Onto I-95 In Hanover
Shortly after 3:30 a.m. Sunday morning, Virginia State Police responded to the single vehicle crash involving an overturned tractor-trailer on Interstate 95 northbound south of Exit 92 in Hanover County.

The truck and trailer and the load on the truck could only legally gross 80,000 lbs. If 75,000 lbs. of squash was spilled out onto the road why wasen't the driver also charged with an over gross violation? An empty tractor trailer usually weighs around 32,000 lbs. Do the math. If he was hauling 75,000 lbs. of squash his tractor and trailer could only weigh 5000 lbs. My pickup truck weighs 5400 lbs.
