To God be the Glory for the great things he is doing!

Thanks to our Leader's in our City and State, TO OUR PRESIDENT, MR. BARACK OBAMA.

My brother spent two years in ATL, GA living on the streets, no place warm to rest his head in the winter, no place cool from the heating summer. Yet I prayed continually for his safety, and his return home. Unable to locate him, only was told he was in the city of ATL GA somewhere.

While waiting for God to answer my prayers, I begin to feed the homeless on my day off from wk in the city of Petersburg, VA my place of resident. I sowed a seed by providing a meal for seven individuals at churches chicken, downtown Petersburg, VA, for the return of my brother. God did not ask me to do the kind deed, but I wanted something from Him, and in return I helped His people who is my people, and He answered my Prayers.

MY brother showed up in the city of Petersburg, nine months ago.

My mother called me and asked me to meet her at the Gray Hound bus station in P town and I did, and my baby brother was standing there in the flesh.
Dirty clothes, skinny, and tears in his eyes, I held him close and said to him no more running away, I am your sister, I love You unconditionally, U WILL always have a home to rest your head.

My brother is back on his feet, No more drugs or alcohol and he is free from the enemy that was in his mind. To God be the glory for the great things he is doing!

I have His Peace,
Sister Mays

I cannot imagine being homeless nor any circumstances leading up to it, however, I do find it pathetic to think the Federal Government should be responsible for helping the majority of these unfortunate people. Families and friends should be there to assist their loved ones in need, I do not believe there are people without any loved ones. Please do not get me wrong, I would much rather see our Government help Americans here in America that need help then I would to see our money fly overseas, but I think we should be more responsible for our loved ones and less reliant on the government to take care of them.

Hi Glen Allen, Your point well taken,
But,

Question
1. Who is the Government?
2. Do you have family?
3. Have anyone other than your family helped you when you were in need?
4. Have U ever had to use the services of the community in your city funded by the Government/Tax Payer's

Our tax dollars go into all the required services to meet the need of our community, City, State, and Country.

People on public assistance, Employment agencies, people without health insurance, un-insured drivers, personal property tax, city tax, public and private prison, and ETC.

All of our tax dollars are divided into equal groups, to meet the needs of the people.

Not everyone have family members around.

People need people to help the ones who are willing to be helped and want to help themselves…

I look at life from a different view, it could have been me.

God is no respecter of persons, and I am A Christian, and I believe in the power to help people in need!

Peace be unto to,
Rev. Sister Mays
