We ought to have "year around" schools. It won't hurt the little darlings to stay in school until June 18. And don't get excited now, the winter isn't over yet. They may be in school until July 1 if the weather keeps up like it has been.
These kids are going to have to meet the cold cruel world one day. They're going to need all the help they can get. Education is something that no one can ever take away from you.
You got that!

Cynthia: Your grammar and spelling are an indication to me that you didn't stay in school long enough. Perhaps you should go to your local library and check out an English Grammar book and STUDY it.

Back in the day it was not uncommon for the school year to end in June.

Thats not nice robert, give her a break. Everyone is not as smart as you. I heard you cheated on your GED testing exam; notes in the palm of your hands just like moose gal.

not a teahead: We used to go until mid to late June. With so much technical information to learn and with science making such leaps and bounds every day, it seems, children and young adults are going to have to remain in school longer just to absorb all of that information.
If we expect to retain jobs here in this country we will have to be prepared. No more just playing on a computer and expecting to find a job. I believe that those days are rapidly passing.

Ok, I'll give her a break. I'm sorry. Yeah, in writing notes on the palms of my hands, I ran out of space!!! I guess they had to give me the GED just so they wouldn't have to look at me again!!! Cause I'm ugly!

not a teahead: In fact, I'm so ugly that maggots run the other way when they see me. I'm auditioning for the new picture to go on the Iodine bottle. That's got to be ugly. But at least I don't have to look at myself.

I agree, the political arena seems to think its a low priority, and the funding will not be forthcoming.

Don't be to hard on yourself, beauty is only skin deep, but ugly is to the bone.

Chesterfield is adding the days even though they are not needed. I feel they should have waited until later in the season to see how the winter progresses. If we have more school days off due to weather, they have already used three of the built in days. We are already in school until the 18th of June as it is.

One more day won't hurt; just think; the other school divisions will get a jump on ya for the no-jobs market.
