Can anyone be more precise about the location of the epicenter? Near what roads, intersections, for example.

We live on Taylors Creek Road, Montpelier. At about 1615 Saturday, I felt a slight vibration and could hear a muffled rumble coming from under the house. Lasted for a few seconds then faded.

The US Geological Survey at this website: http://earthquake.usgs.gov/earthquakes/recent...
says the location was at 37.852°N, 77.517°W

You can enter those coordinates into Google Maps to see an exact map location. The epicenter was Northeast of Old Ridge Road between Doswell Rd. and Ashland Berry Farm, near the end of Welling Hall Rd. and the Little River.

I live off Rt. 33 halfway between Montpelier and the Town of Louisa. There was a bumping noise and the house trembled very slightly.

I was in Lakeside - doing some work up at my church (Lakeside UMC) and I herd and felt it. It lasted just a few seconds and then it was over.

I was at my mother's home in Beaverdam, VA getting ready to go to the state fair and we all felt the house shake. My sister ran out the room and was like what was that and my husband was like it's a train. I've heard many trains go by but never that shook the entire house. We later learned that there was an earthquake around the same time we felt the quake.

We live in NE Fluvanna County and heard a loud BOOM but did not feel any tremors. It was rather exciting!
