Well, it's about time Hanovr County and VDOT has decided to look into this problem. The solution to the problem is a simple one and should not take months to resolve.

Simply create two turn lanes on Rt. 33 beginning at Greenwood Church Road and ending at the intersection of Rts. 33 and 54, removing the short (unused) left hand turn lane into the Valero service station. The left turn lane would be used for traffic turning left onto Rt. 54; the right turn lane would be for traffic turning right onto Rt. 54. SIMPLE!
