Hanover Police investigate robbery attempts

Police say a group of men dressed in dark clothing in downtown Hanover pushed around one man while demanding money, took another man's wallet from him and pounded on a vehicle to get it to stop -- all in the span of about 15 minutes Wednesday night.

Well, there goes Hanover. It was just a matter of time. Things have happened here before, and they'll happen again, but this just doesn't make you feel too safe!

Lol and here I thought I was the only one with that thought! The square is kinda creepy at night anyway with people flocked to the benches over by Alex's pizza. It's like the hangout place of Hanover after dark, and the thing is they are adults. Not long ago a crime was committed not far that spot by a few Mexicans and this site had about 50 racist comments. How come nobody comments about race when it's committed by us whites?

Without a doubt, the guns are already here and they're in the hands of thugs and professional drug dealers now. If you think not, you're simply wrong. You are right that unchecked, Hanover will have a lot more of the problems that are killing both Harrisburg and York. That has nothing to do with legally owned guns in the hands of law abiding citizens. You really can't blame those who could potentially be victims of thugs like these for wanting to protect themselves or their families. This behavior is outrageous and you may feel differently about a carry permit if (God forbid) this kind of crime is perpetrated against yourself or a family member. Depending on the time of day and the streets your kids are walking down, they may not be as safe as you think.
