Clubs shoud donate

Harrisburg, PA

I once heard that private clubs must donate all the money they make on strip tickets and fish bowls to charity. This would be a great way for the Moose, Elks, Eagles, Amvets, VFW, American Legion, Knights of Columbus, Hanover Home, Republican Club, and all the others to donate that money to charity. It would help the taxpayers and help them stay legal. Is this true??

What arrogance. I'm a DCHS grad and people like you make me ashamed to admit it. Your post has nothing to do with school pride. All it represents is your own personal level of immaturity.

It is good to see the renovations finally beginning and that while we need lights installed, we are able to give the air national guard an opportunity for practicing their crafts. My only concern is that the renovations may be on a much grander scale than what is truly necessary.
This article states that "Each donation helps offset the amount of money the district will use from its capital reserve fund for the project." Several board members stated in a board meeting that they will in no way approve any expenditures which exceed the remaining money left over from the renovations on the Hanover Street Elementary and the Washington Street Elementary.

Here's hoping they keep their word.

Delone can recruit players and I am sure they do. Every now and then hanover will win. I like cheering for the under dog. Sounds like you are a wind bag and perhaps a assclown. I went to southwest and Id still root for hanover over delone. I bet delone cant beat sout west.

The bids needed to be extended until the costs are a little closer to the original estimates. Now that they've added many extras, the bid is about a million over what they said it could be done for.
More to give

Seems like with all the money they have they should be buying a fire truck or two for the borough.
