everyone needs to leave his wife and family out of these discussions. It's not your business where they work. let them deal with this privately. Matt is the only one who should be subject to this public flogging.

Because they probably share a computer at the house. If he is as good as they say, maybe it was her who had the files on the computer.

This is pure speculation about his wife on your part. Cybercrimes usually involve many months of investigation. The ability to track internet usage, accessing accounts for websites, e-mail, etc. exists. If a true investigation has been taking place since November as stated previously then they have a case against him and have been building it for some time. This is not a situation where a teacher is being accused of inappropraite behavior by a parent, child, or co-worker. This is a case where it sounds like their is actual physical evidence that he may have commited a crime. Just because his wife lives in the same house does not mean she was aware of his behavior. Examples of this would be the Michael Johnson case or affiars that the other spouse is not aware of, a spuse running up credit card debt and the other doesn't know, etc. Let's stick to what is known.

Everyone needs to leave Matt's wife out of this. She is a good person, and is trying to cope with this just like everyone else. She does not need harassment because her husband messed up. She is none of your concern, so LEAVE HER ALONE.

You are sick. I know both Matt and his wife and they are wonderful people. Matt made a mistake and possible has an addiction. He will pay for his mistake. His wife and family are also paying for Matt's mistake. Let them alone!!

He has not been charged of a crime. Publishing of addresses are acceptable after charges are made. Obviously WGAL showed the picture of his house last night in the news. I never thought I would defend the Evening Sun but many of you need to go back and that a Civics class and get the facts straight.

Who the hell do you think you are to assume that they share a computer and then to through an accusation toward someone you don't even know. Do you realize the repercussions your false words could have on his wife and their family?

I Think that the school district should have sent a letter to all parents that have children in that school. My child came home and was telling me all about it and I did not even know what to say to them. The kids there are hearing all kinds of things and some of the stuff I really don't think they even know what it means. I have to sit down now and explain things that maybe children at that level will not even understand. A letter should have been sent home I am really upset with the way the school handled this situation.
no kidding

I am with you there all the way. I ws not even aware of the situation until my child came home and was all upset over this. I agree a letter should have been sent home that day. All the parents should have been told not just the 5th grade parents. Rumors all over the school that is how my child found out and that is sad.

all I have to say is that I am the wife of someone that this same thing happened to- you should all be ashamed of yourselves. My heart bleeds for her like it is happening to me and my kids all over again. Do all of you know exactly what your spouse is doing at all times? And second of all- regardless of what he did or did not do she loves this man and I know is alreay dealing with feelings of betrayal and now the public is slamming her as well! She is just as much a victim if not more of a victim then the children in those photos! At least the children in the photos are being protected by the press and the PUBLIC!

Ok you moron you seem to think you have the answer to this unfortunate situation lets hear it. Your response was ignorant, atleast they are trying to take care of the situation not sweep it under the rug. If you would have looked at the article alittle closer you would have noticed it said it happened at home on his home computer, but the school district is trying to help the situation. Unless you have the answer to fix this you should probably keep your 2 cents to yourself..........

Thanks for bringing in the guidance counselors? What? We just had a guy within our school resign for porn and you bring in counselors - guidance counselors at that - from the same monster (SWSD) where the bad guy came from. Make sure you continue to protect yourself SW - no outsiders allowed. Guidance counselors - what were they going to do conduct a PSSA with the studens while being counseled. That's crazy. I don't trust anyone in guidance any more than I trust the teachers, now.

Hey folks, where this guy lives should not be relivent, the fact that the school took action to dismiss him is what is important. The fact that he was a wonderful teacher, great! but as a decent human he failed. What his wife does as far as a job, why is she now the convicted? Pray for the Woman, she is not responsible for her Husbands actions (unless proven otherwise). Why are you critisizing the fact that the guidance counselors were on site...HELLO isn't that what we hire and pay them for. Oh yea, and how about we stop dwelling on all the issues with South West School District that have surfaced lately and start looking at all the surrounding schools and our "leaders" there. I can promise other schools have some "leaders" with a few skeletons in their closets....Lastly, Thank you Evening Sun for alerting the public to this man's (accused) crime. That is what is important. Now Parents, how about we now with down with our children and talk to them about what has happened and make sure they were in no way "hurt" through this man's "hobby". Then if you don't like the couselors provided, there are many others in our community educated and equiped to help.

Sorry, as far as the letters going out (or not going out), I agree with you on that. All Parents with Children in that school should know what was going on. So for that I am disappointed in the fact that Parents were not equiped properly with the facts. SW, lesson learned I hope. We want our Parents to be active participants in our Childrens lives, so give them the tools they need. And then let them decide how to handle the situation.

my child had Matt as a teacher, cross country coach and track coach. I am very surprised that this happeded, he was an excellant teacher and worked well with the chilren. My child was upset that this happened also and heard all kind of rumors through the school yesterday. I think letters should have gone home with the track team as well so we were aware of this. I am sure Matt in no way ever harmed any children and that this was definately an at home situtation. I am very saddened by this and I feel for his wife as well as she is a very nice person. I would like to believe that Matt is innocent but usually computers do not lie. I am sure he regrets the mistake he made as his life is pretty much ruined by all of this. I wish is family the best.

How can you even say that? If this man chose to do what the police allege, he is not a good person. I'm not buying your ignorant excuse.

AMEN. And FWIW, his wife should be left alone, I completely agree w/the previous poster, DO YOU KNOW what your spouse is doing every minute of the day? Families should be completely off-limits when you morons get on your soap boxes.

Everyone makes mistakes. Let the authorities do the work and let God be the judge. No body is perfect and I too, know the Krapf family. They will/are going through enough, without everyone's imput. Who cares where his wife works or where he lives. There have been no charges filed and even then we are nobody to judge hi or his family. I hope and pray for Matt's sake that this is a big misunderstanding. If not, I pray for forgiveness and help for the family. I know Matt to be a wonderful teacher and well respected by many. God Bless you during this difficult time.

i am on the cross country and track team.Krapft never did anything to you guys, so take a step back and stop judging him if you don't personally know him.He never attempted anything, never showed and certain emotions to anyone. Show him some respect.
