While sitting in the ER trying to comfort my son with his broken finger and the Dr. setting the bone, here comes someone from the hospital to collect my co-pay. I think there might be a better time to get their 50 bucks. I'm not saying it was at the same time, but it was right after we went back to the exam. room. As a parent of a child in alot of pain, my concern was with him and not with my co-pay. They did take good care of him but I think this practice of collecting money as soon as you get in there is wrong.

It wasn't Hanover Hospital, and I wouldn't take my dog there either. Also I don't owe them money, this is something they are doing now. I have great insurance, but if your not in really bad shape they want their co-pay, and they send people to you in the Exam Room to get it.

Worst hospital I have EVER been to. Staff screams across the floor from one end to the other all all hours of day and night. While in the ER This one staffer got angry and started doing this loud fake laugh that was beyond annoying. ER had a loud argument about what was better sprinkle or glazed doughnuts and upon hearing that another floor had doughnuts they took off running to that floor to get said doughnuts. If you need something in the ER and push the "call button" you may or may not get someone, took my nurse an hour to show up and she was annoyed with me asked me to stop using the button and walked back out with out helping me. Last but not least got to my room five hours after they said they had a room ready for me and the bathroom was filthy. They are so bad my health insurance *BCBS-F* dropped them from their network because of so many complaints.

And when did you want to pay it???????

Since you were already there, why not just give it to them and get over it. That's a small co-pay compared to most. Be happy.

When I got my Big Mac at McDonalds, they wanted me to pay first....

Only saying what was told to me by BCBS-F. I have no reason at all to lie about anything. Every incident I talk about in my post was reported to the hospital admins and is on file. But then again on the same note how do we know that YOU are not the one lying? I will call BCBS-F in the morrow and find out for a "fact" and repost with a update of what I am told.

Like the insurance company is not gonna give you a line....BCBS was paying more to other area hospitals than it was paying to HH for the same procedures. It is HH that has not renewed the contract...whether that is good or not I guess time will tell, but that is what happened.

Looking at your posts, you don't have any room to bragg with the way yours are judged.
Anyway, what problem did you have with Hanover Hospital? Is it something that we all need to know about?

Sorry I took so long I've had a lot of stuff going on with the family. I called BC-BS-F and asked "Whats the reason for not renewing the contract with Hanover hospital?" Her reply was "unable to reach a agreement of terms on a new contract" and would not budge of of that line. When I asked her about what I had been told to me the first time by BC-BS-F "due to complaints" she did say that "well that situation did not help matters any". So really at this point I don't know one way or the other and things are no more clear to me than they were before. How ever everything I did say about what happened to ME in Hanover ER and in my room are 100% known to me and I'd swear to in a court of law. I don't know if this helps anyone but it is what it is.
