Gov. Tom Corbett has low job approval, continues to lag behind Tom Wolf in governor's race

The campaign to re-elect Gov. Tom Corbett has another ugly picture to hang on the wall, after a poll released Wednesday painted the latest dismal portrait of voter sentiment for the incumbent Republican.

This Franklin & Marshall College survey of registered voters is the most recent in a series of post-primary polls, showing the governor with low job approval and lagging behind his Democratic challenger, York County businessman Tom Wolf.

Only 26 percent of voters polled said Corbett deserves a second term. And if the general election had been held the day pollsters interviewed the 502 respondents, Corbett would've lost the election with 25 percent of the vote to Wolf's 47 percent. The group of undecided voters — 27 percent — exceeded Corbett's take of the crowd.

This put in simple terms. Corbett levied a massive tax hike on the middle class only - with his transportation bill. A majority of Pennsylvania's 500 school districts have had to increase property taxes to compensate for lost state revenues. So much for Corbet's pledge. Semantics fooled no one.
The federal Medicaid money is already available. All we have to do is apply.$600 million next year. After three years, the feds still assume 90% of the tab.
PA severance tax on gas would be the same as every other state. Gas companies will not leave, as there is nowhere to go without that tax. And the Marcellus shale is here.
Closing loopholes on sales tax just means charging sales tax on everything but food and clothes - another $300 million/year.
Corporate tax breaks/welfare has not worked for job creation in Pennsylvania anyway, as the state has dropped from 7th to 49th in job creation under Corbett's watch.
State budget records show that Fast Eddie left us with a billion dollar surplus in 2010. Three years of Draconian education cuts and 45,000 state jobs lost - we face at least a $1.5 billion dollar deficit.
Time for Governor Wolf.

Obama paying the price for insisting he’s right
July 3, 2014
...
So it is with Barack Obama. The nation is turning against him, yet he shouts to the heavens that he is right and the country is wrong.

Mothers can get away with that sort of thing. Presidents and their parties get shellacked.

The Quinnipiac poll showing that Obama is now considered the worst president since World War II offers him no silver lining. There were 12 choices and the voting wasn’t close — he got the highest “worst” vote, 33 percent, with George W. Bush the next worst, at 28 percent.

Jimmy Carter, routinely mocked as a disaster, drew only 8 percent. Even Richard Nixon did better, seen as the bottom of the barrel by only 13 percent of those surveyed. And we know how Nixon’s tenure ended.

Too bad America didn’t come to its senses sooner.

Indeed, the Q poll shows a huge amount of buyers’ remorse, with 45 percent saying Mitt Romney would have been a better president, while only 38 percent think Obama was the right choice in 2012. Mulligan, anyone?

Obama will definitely be on the list of top 5 worst presidents, there's no doubt about that.

That being said, Corbett will go down as one of the worst PA governors.

School taxes are on the rise not only because of Corbett, but mainly because the state legislature has let the state's portion fall from 40% to less than half of that today.

Not only should we vote for Tom Wolf for governor, but also get rid of any deeply entrenched incumbent representative or state senator who has been a part of this reduction in state funding, regardless of party.

Clark's summit pa does not traditionally support the LA lakers when they play the Houston Rockets. Why? Perhaps, the rationale is rooted in the belief that teams that historically have entertained superstars and the triangle offense should be viewed as the enemy. THE END!

Corbett has shown that he's a RINO who is out to do the bidding of those who paid for his campaign and do what's best for Tom Corbett.

Wolf is hardly a radical. He's a businessman who shares his profits with his employees. He's not your run of the mill politician like Corbett. We need some new blood in Harrisburg.

For Pres, if he gets the nomination, I'll vote for Christie because he's a no no sense guy who doesn't take shit from anyone and tells you what you need to know, not pander and tell you what you want to know.

An immigrant surge en route to a Third World USA

This is the ‘fundamental transformation’ Obama promised

Maybe we’ve been conned. There’s a growing recognition that Barack Obama is an incompetent poser, working out of his depth, and his administration is the gang that can’t shoot straight. There’s a lot of evidence to support that belief.

Everything he touches becomes a bloody mess, like crushed bones and bits of flesh caught in the tracks of a tank slicing through a rank of soldiers (or civilians). Iraq, Syria, Egypt — all gone, as prospects for countries with a prosperous and democratic future.

The “reset” with Russia, meant to ensure that America and the replacement republic of the old Soviet Union can be friends, is a reset, sure enough.

The new Russia looks more like a reset to the Cold War, more adversary than friend, transformed by a feckless American president and an ambitious Russian leader eager to take advantage of weak and incompetent American leadership.

The “humanitarian crisis” on the southern border is the most persuasive evidence of all that America is adrift in a sea of incompetence, blown about by every ill wind that blows.

The mighty ship of state is bereft of a rudder, traveling in endless circles with the captain stumbling on the bridge, trying to make sense of navigation charts he can’t read.

Obama’s legacy of failure
July 7

In his 2008 convention speech, Barack Obama declared that as president he would clean up the mess created by “the failed presidency of George W. Bush.”

Now many Americans say he has done a worse job in office than the man he replaced.

A new Quinnipiac poll finds that a plurality rated Barack Obama the worst president in the past 70 years — worse even than Richard Nixon, who resigned in scandal. That is quite an achievement.

And, to add insult to injury, a new Gallup poll finds that confidence in the presidency has dropped from 51 percent when Obama took office to just 29 percent today (4 points lower than Bush at the same point in his presidency).
