Jeb Bush’s wife, family issues key to 2016

If Jeb Bush decides to run for president, he’ll have to defend his family’s controversial political name.

But more immediate family concerns might keep him from running at all.

Republican donors and operatives are chattering about Bush’s publicity-shy wife.
Columba Bush has long been deeply averse to the spotlight, especially after an embarrassing encounter with U.S. Customs while her husband was still in office.
Two of his children have been in the news in past years for arrests linked to drug problems and public intoxication.

His mother wouldn't let the "darkie" in her home, nor the mixed grandkids. Truth. The first time those kids were near Jeb's parents was at the convention when his dad was nominated for President...they were all on stage together....for the 1st time. Those little kids did not know who 'those people were'....their grandparents. Talk about died in the wool racists....wow. It was the talk of the convention....all the journalists were going on and on about it.

Age does have some advantages. Today people cannot believe that the elder Bush's (and plenty others in America) were THAT racist but it was common.

If you read the boards most common Republican STILL feel that way....you read their hate on these boards all the time. They sure ain't Democrats posting that trash!!

Pushback Continues: States Grow Increasingly Wary of Common Core
April 16, 2014

Common Core is on the ropes. More and more states are pulling back from the national standards as the 2014–15 school year implementation deadline looms near.

In Louisiana, Governor Bobby Jindal (R)—formerly a Common Core supporter—is now encouraging the legislature to remove the state from the Common Core aligned Partnership for Assessment of Readiness for Colleges and Careers (PARCC) test. And if they don’t act, he will.
Fifteen states have now made strides in halting or downgrading their involvement in the standards. Last month, Indiana became the first state to exit Common Core. This is promising momentum in the effort of states to reclaim their educational decision-making authority.

Voter Fraud Not Uncommon

Dems’ Voter-Fraud Denial
April 3, 2014
How do you address a problem they insist doesn’t exist?

The spin doctors who deny the existence of voter fraud have no boundaries.

“Plans to fight voter fraud are based on nightmares, tall tales, and paranoid fears,” says Scott Keyes of the liberal Center for American Progress.

Voter fraud is so rare “you’re more likely to get hit by lightning than find a case of prosecutorial voter fraud,” asserts Judith Browne-Dianis, co-director of the liberal Advancement Project.

Kim Strach, the new director of North Carolina’s Board of Elections, disagrees. She just searched a database that comprises about half the registered voters in the U.S. and found 35,750 voters in her state whose first and last names and full date of birth match with someone in another state who also voted in the 2012 election.

A smaller number (765) had exact matches on Social Security numbers, but that total is artificially low because only some states provide that number for any or all of their voters.

Remember: In 2008, Barack Obama only carried North Carolina by 14,177 votes out of 2.3 million cast.

Strach is turning over her findings to the state legislature along with recommendations on what laws would help clean up the rolls.

Nor is North Carolina the only state with voter fraud in the news. Cobby Williams, a former 2012 independent congressional candidate in Mississippi, was sentenced to five years in prison this week for knowingly registering a convicted felon.

Last month, police in Pontiac, Mich., found the mummified body of Pia Farrenkopf in the garage of her foreclosed home. She had apparently been dead since 2008, but was listed as having voted in the 2010 election for governor.

Texas Democratic state representative Lon Burnam filed suit in March claiming he was defeated by 111 votes in his Democratic primary because of an illegal vote-by-mail operation, which might have been orchestrated by his opponent.
