Ever notice how non-accepting "progressives" are of cultural differences? The hypocrisy is astounding. Anyone can believe anything they want as long as they aren't Christian, capitalist or don't believe in climate change brought on by humans. Liberals are for acceptance when acceptance sounds good. But when it comes to accepting someone who believes something other than they do -- time to throw them in prison.
No democrat ever claimed to be accepting of irrational, unreasonable, delusional concepts.

Ron Paul on Crimea: Why does U.S. care?

Former Rep. Ron Paul says that America’s reaction to Crimea’s vote to secede from Ukraine should be,“So what?”

“Why does the U.S. care which flag will be hoisted on a small piece of land thousands of miles away?” the Texas Republican and libertarian icon wrote in a USA Today op-ed Monday.

Ron Paul said at least three other regions — Catalonia, Scotland and Venice — are similarly seeking to leave their countries, and the U.S. and Europe should allow events to proceed uninterrupted there as well as Crimea, saying “self-determination is a centerpiece of international law.”

Critics point to the Russian “occupation” of Crimea as evidence that no fair vote could have taken place. Where were these people when an election held in an Iraq occupied by U.S. troops was called a ‘triumph of democracy’?” Paul wrote.“Perhaps the U.S. officials who supported the unconstitutional overthrow of Ukraine’s government should refocus their energies on learning our own Constitution, which does not allow the U.S. government to overthrow governments overseas or send a billion dollars to bail out Ukraine and its international creditors.”

The Chris Christie Scandal Just Got Worse !!!!!!!!!!
When there is still snow on the ground past St. Patrick’s Day, thoughts turn longingly to the beach. Say, the Jersey Shore. Which in turn brings to mind the extreme yet comically ham-handed efforts of Governor Chris Christie’s administration to keep secret the process that led to the controversial selection exactly one year ago of a firm to run a $25 million ad campaign for last summer’s tourist season touting the Shore’s comeback from Superstorm Sandy.
As you may recall, Christie came under criticism during his reelection campaign last summer for having inserted himself and his family into the rousing “Stronger than the Storm” ads encouraging tourists to come back to the Jersey Shore. The ads had been funded by federal Sandy recovery aid, and it seemed eyebrow-raising, at the least, for them to feature beaming pictures of a governor in the middle of a reelection campaign, rather than just your average smiling New Jerseyans. The eyebrows shot up quite a bit further when it emerged that the firm that had gotten the job after proposing to feature Christie in its ads, public relations giant MWW, had bid at a much higher price—$4.7 million versus $2.5 million—than a well-regarded New Jersey ad firm that had proposed ads that did not feature the governor. Making matters even more interesting was that the award had been made by a selection committee led by Christie’s very close longtime aide, Michele Brown, whom Christie appointed to run the New Jersey Economic Development Authority, a $225,000 post

Study: 38 percent of private employers will cut workers if minimum wage is raised

WASHINGTON – Thirty-eight percent of America’s private employers say they will lay off workers if Congress agrees to raise the minimum wage to $10.10, according to a new survey by the nation’s largest privately held staffing firm.

Fifty-four percent of employers who are paying their workers the current minimum wage of $7.25 per hour say they would reduce hiring, while 65 percent say they would raise prices on their goods and services to offset the bumps in pay.

Of the 1,213 business and human resources professionals surveyed by Express Employment Professionals last month – which include whose who pay their employees the minimum wage as well as those who do not – 19 percent say they’d fire workers, 39 percent would reduce hiring and 51 percent would raise prices on their services to make up the salary costs.

“As with any such policy change, there are upsides and downsides. But based on this survey, there’s no denying that raising the minimum wage will result in layoffs, reduced hiring, and higher prices at a large chunk of American companies,” Bob Funk, CEO of Express and the former chairman of the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas, said.“How severe will those effects be? That remains to be seen, but policymakers will certainly want to be mindful of this reality as they legislate.”

Last month, the Congressional Budget Office released a report that said that while raising the country’s minimum wage might boost the incomes of millions of Americans, it would simultaneously mean hundreds of thousands of fewer workers.

According to the CBO, a graduated boost in the minimum wage to $10.10 by 2016 would lead to an estimated decline in employment of 500,000 workers by the second half of that year.

That figure is the central estimate in a range of possible outcomes, but it is more likely than not that the law would lead to less employment.

According to the report, there is a 70 percent chance that the law would lead to anywhere from a slight decline in employment to a decline of 1 million workers.

That's because normal people view several news stations from different news media, to get the full picture and different views, so not ONE station gets all the ratings. Faux news has their puppets base to follow them around. They keep going back to FAUX because the propaganda they are reporting is slurped up by the tea baggers. All other news channels combined overwhelming out rate Faux news. Most intelligent people will do that.
Wouldn't it be boring to keep watching the same channel day after day ?
Faux feeds their trolls and they keep coming back. By the way Faux really isn't a news channel, it's a commentary station, feeding the Sean Hannity and Bill Oreilly nut juice guzzlers, and the trolls lap it all up. Roger you need to expand your brain power, but you cant ,first all you have to brains but you know where to go for the nut juice that Faux spews out LMAO!

Anyone who raves about Fox TV's ratings should watch the documentary about Rupert Murdoch called "Outfoxed".

It is the gullibility of its viewers that keeps the ratings so high and Rupert Murdoch looooves it!

4 times as many people watch any of the Big Three networks for real news.

It's really good to know that young (and young-ish) people aren't watching Fox News so much. Maybe there is hope for this country.

Hannity is an embarrassment to the human race. I wonder how Megan Kelly will fare in his time slot. So far she's been just about as nuts as Hannity, at least based on the sampling I've done of her program.

I think it's clear why Fox News has a higher viewership than the other less Conservative Cable News Shows. Most Fox Viewers are older, retired people that spend their days in front of the TV. They listen to the hatred spewed by Fox "Personalities" and get worked into a rage. Younger and more Liberal viewers are working, exercising and generally living a more well rounded lifestyle.

Obama Should Have Listened to Romney on Russia
March 18, 2014

During the 2012 campaign, Mitt Romney called Russia the United States’“number one geopolitical foe”—and was widely derided by those supposedly in the know.

In a debate last fall, President Obama mocked Romney, saying,“Governor Romney, I’m glad that you recognize that al-Qaida is a threat, because a few months ago when you were asked what’s the biggest geopolitical threat facing America, you said Russia, not al-Qaida. You said Russia … the 1980s, they’re now calling to ask for their foreign policy back because, you know, the Cold War’s been over for 20 years.”

Now, with Russian president Vladimir Putin annexing Crimea, Romney’s validated. But in an op-ed today in The Wall Street Journal, the former GOP candidate made the case that it’s not just Russia on which the Obama Administration has been short-sighted. Rather, the administration has also failed to act at the right time in nations such as Syria and Egypt, among others.

It was Fox News, however, that saw the sharpest decline in viewers ages 25-54: the network lost 19 percent of its audience in the demo during total day, and a whopping 30 percent in primetime. Despite its continued dominance, falling viewership in the coveted 25-54 demo was a sore spot for the network last year.

Thank goodness. Hopefully that trend will continue in 2014 so Faux News will have less and less influence on that VERY important demographic group.

Faux news televised a lot of sporting events, thus the ratings.

They have hockey, baseball, football, people are watching sports not the primetime shows such as Sean Hannity, Bill OReilly, and that blonde bimbo, what's her name? Faux news attracts ( for their prime time shows ) older white guys over 60....It's their base,,,,,,,too bad there aren't enough old white guys to vote in a President of their own party ! LMAO! Ages 25-59 hardly watch Faux at all, if anything ,just for the sports. LOL!

Because they were minority recipients. Didn't you know that when a Mexican charges a machine gun nest, hurls grenades and kills countless enemies while saving countless US soldiers, it doesn't count? You have to be white to be a hero.

And shhhhh! Don't tell them a black lesbian woman is a Navy admiral in charge of a carrier battle group and about 50,000 men. They'll start hitting themselves in the head with a bag of chicken parts and masturbating in their own feces.

That was pretty in your face, though....All of Fox's draping their minions in the flag, yet totally ignoring the Medal of Honor ceremony for 24 brave American's....It's almost as if, they decided to once again discriminate againest them, because of not only race or religion, but also because of poisonous, partisan politics.....very disturbing, which ever side you align with.....
