Hope and Change:

Obama Smeared Bush for 10.6% Black Unemployment Rate;

Five Years Later it's 12.9%

.

At times, a leader’s ineptitude can best be revealed when he parades his failures as victories.

While America still remains in the clutches of a dismal economy, the Obama Administration has become their own cheerleaders, announcing victory when there is no reason to celebrate.

President Obama and his cagey mouthpiece,

Jay Carney,

have become more and more committed to spinning every failure as victories with only minor hiccups.

Black jobless claims dip to 5-year low
12.5 percent unemployment in November

Published Wednesday, December 18, 2013 12:07 pm
by Freddie Allen, NNPA

WASHINGTON – The black unemployment rate fell to a five-year low in November, according to the latest jobs report by the Labor Department, but economists saw little to celebrate as Congress inaction threatens the federal unemployment insurance programs that helps millions of families.

The unemployment rate for blacks fell to 12.5 percent last month, the lowest since December 2008 when it was 11.9 percent. In January 2009, the same month President Obama started his first term the rate jumped to 12.6 percent.

The unemployment rate for whites ticked down from 6.3 percent in October to 6.2 percent in November.

The unemployment rate for black men over 20 also improved dropping from 13 percent in October to 12.3 percent in November. The jobless rate for white men fell from 6.2 percent in October to 6 percent in November. The jobless rate for black women fell from 11.5 percent in October to 11.1 percent in November, compared to white women that saw their unemployment rate fall from 5.5 percent in October to 5.3 percent in November.

http://www.thecharlottepost.com/news/2013/12/...

(We did not compare Obama to George H.W. Bush, since he did not serve two terms. But, for the record, the average black unemployment rate was 12.4 during the elder Bush’s four years in office, while the white rate was 5.5 percent. That’s an average black-to-white ratio of 2.3 to 1 — identical to the historical average from 1972 to 2004.)

Rand Paul was talking about the November unemployment rates and ratio — not the 58-month average unemployment rate and ratio — but even by that measure the black-to-white unemployment ratio is lower under Obama (2) than it was under Reagan (2.6), Clinton (2.4) and Bush (2.5) at this point in their second terms.

US President Barack Hussein Obama will never able to learn from the late Nelson Mandela about how to properly govern a nation, says Walter E. Williams, a syndicated columnist and economist at George Mason University.
“He’s beyond learning. He has another agenda and, firstly, I don’t think Obama is his own man,” Mr. Williams said in a TV interview at the weekend.
“He is a puppet of George Soros,” he added, referring to the liberal billionaire businessman and philanthropist.
Mr. Williams believes Mr. Obama’s presidency ultimately will be regarded along the lines of Jimmy Carter’s “as a somewhat failed” administration.
He said it is unfortunate that America’s 1st black President is “incompetent.”

Hillary Clinton could win all 50 states running against Banana Republicans in 2016

Republicans have been accused of waging a war against women, a war against workers and a war against the poor. Republicans have been accused of waging a war against the environment while they deny global warming. We even have Republicans waging a war against the American economy, while some Republicans even deny the deadly economic dangers of a U.S. default.

It gets better for Democrats: Now, Republicans are waging a war against everyone. Veterans and military families face hardship because of the Republican shutdown. Small-business people cannot get loans because of the Republican shutdown. Tourists find national parks closed because of the Republican shutdown. It goes on and on and on, which is why Republican polling numbers have been falling like a snowball down a mountain during an avalanche.

It gets even better for Democrats: Republicans have been accused of waging a war against the 99 percent, which is bad enough, as Mitt Romney learned the hard way. But now, Republicans are even waging a war against the 1 percent.

Think about it: If the debt ceiling is not increased and markets crash, the 1 percent get screwed along with everyone else. And — this is important — if the government shutdown continues, consumer confidence and consumer purchasing power go down. Retail sales go down. Sales and earnings and profits of most businesses, large and small, go down. And with the latest GOP scheme for a short term deal, which will continue the sadomasochism in Washington through the Christmas shopping season, the Banana Republicans could ruin the holiday for Mom and Dad, the kids, and businesses across America.

Bill and Hillary Clinton represent better days for the economy, and a Clinton presidency that led to powerful economic growth, prosperity and jobs even while the Banana Republicans tried to impeach him. Hillary Clinton represents to voters the ability to lead, the ability to govern, and the ability to grow the economy. If she runs against the Banana Republicans, who are so unpopular today, she could actually win all 50 states in November 2016. That's a happy prospect indeed, for Democrats.

Michele Bachmann Says Only God Can Defeat Hilary in 2016

Speaking with Jan Markell of Olive Tree Ministries, Michele Bachmann in the course of an hour-long chat said that only God can defeat Hilary in 2016. Probably, only God can keep Bachmann out of jail, but that’s another story.

Where Hilary is concerned, Bachmann is trusting to the Lord God Almighty:

I don’t at all [fear Hilary will win] because I look at the story of David and Goliath, all David needed was one smooth stone to fell the giant. It wasn’t the stone, it wasn’t David, it was the strong right arm of a Holy God

Not happening. Bachmann knows its not happening. That’s why so many Republicans are pretending to speak for their god.

Just like Bachmann said God told her to run for Prez in 2012. If she’s listening to God, doesn’t that also mean he told her to break election laws? And look where that’s getting her.

And yes, that’s another story. I’m sorry. It’s such an attractive story….

Hillary Clinton in 2016: Be Afraid, Republicans

Hillary Clinton's polling ahead of GOP challengers in Texas and Kentucky. And then there's the youth vote, minorities, women, and the white working class. She's the one to beat in 2016, writes Lloyd Green, former opposition research counsel to the George H.W. Bush campaign.

Message to the Republican Party: be afraid, be very afraid.

Hillary Clinton stands atop of the Democratic 2016 scrum, set to resume where Bill left off. A second Clinton candidacy would likely put the white vote in play and jeopardize the GOP's dominance in the Old Confederacy. Recent polls put Hillary ahead of possible Republican challengers in vote-rich Texas and in Kentucky, home of Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell and Tea Party favorite Rand Paul.

Unlike her husband, Hillary is personally disciplined. Unlike Barack Obama, she has demonstrated an ability to connect with beer-track voters across the country.

To understand why Hillary is particularly dangerous to the Republican Party, recall where the Democratic Party stood on the eve of Bill's 1992 run for the White House, poised for what would have been their sixth loss in seven presidential elections.

Threes about 19% pop of Hispanics in the U.S. and an estimated 10 to 15 million Illegals.
So Blacks pop at 13%
Now with the added Immigration reform Hispanics will RUN the Political seen and I KNOW they will Pick there own if they had that choice.
So who SCREWED the Blacks… the FIRST ‘black” president!!!
Yep just like the Ghetto mentality at the highest level. Black in the Ghetto Screws themselves and now their Black president does the EXACT same things.
What idiots all if them!!!!!!!
You should learn basic punctuation and writing at a 5th grade level before you start calling anyone an idiot. Same goes for about 99 percent of your tea bagger buddies at the rally. My favorite is when they tell Hispanic people to "Learn the English Lanaguage!" (sic). Then you all wonder why you're stuck in the powerless fringes of society and are the butt of every joke on the planet. Not too bright.

1/24/07 Gas was .12 a gal in 2007 = Venezuelans upset with gas hike plans

01/25/07 12:00 am (EST)

CARACAS, Venezuela (AFX)- Raising gasoline prices is a risky business in
oil-rich Venezuela.

Past price hikes have sparked deadly rioting in a nation where gasoline
costs as little as ''''12 cents a gallon (US$0.03 or euro0.03 a liter)'''and low
prices are seen as a birthright. Now a plan by President Hugo Chavez's
government to raise fuel prices has motorists fuming once again.

It's not clear how high prices could creep since officials have yet to
decide on the details of the nation's first fuel price hike in roughly 10 years,
but most Venezuelans say even a small increase is unacceptable.

"An oil country should have low prices," said Ruben Cornieli, who spends
6,000 bolivars (US$2.70; euro2.08) every two or three days to fill up the tank
of his gas-guzzling sport utility vehicle.

Government subsidies have held down prices for years, keeping them among
the lowest in the world, lower even than in fellow oil-producing countries
like Saudi Arabia and Iran.

Venezuela's leftist president has asked government officials to take
measures so the impending price increase does not affect public transportation
costs or food prices.

"It doesn't have to affect the cost of anything," Chavez said.

Venezuela's past shows he has reason to be wary of the price hike's impact.

When Venezuela's government raised fuel prices in 1989, it pushed up bus
fares and angered the country's poor majority, setting off deadly riots known
as the "Caracazo." Soldiers and police clashed with rioters in the capital
of Caracas and nearby cities, leaving more than 300 dead according to
official estimates; local human rights groups put the toll in the thousands.

Since then, governments have been wary to attempt significant price hikes.

As a result, pickup trucks, SUVs and fuel-injected sports cars are popular
among the middle and upper-classes. Old jeeps known as "rusticos" provide
public transport in the hillside slums that ring Caracas.

Nicanor Gonzalez, a 39-year-old computer technician, predicted that
Venezuela's poor would be most affected by the plan to boost gas prices because
increased transportation costs would be passed on to consumers of basic goods
such as food, medicine and clothes.

"It's the lower class that is going to be the first to be hurt because
increasing gasoline (prices) is going to increase prices for all products," he
said.

Some Venezuelans support the price increase announced on Sunday by Chavez,
who said an increase was long overdue.

"It's outrageous to sell gasoline at the rate we are. It would be better to
give it away," Chavez said.

Chavez did not give a reason why he was raising gasoline prices, but his
opponents are speculating it is because world oil prices are slipping and he
needs the extra cash to finance what he calls his revolution in "21st-century
socialism."
