At todays press conference,
Jay Carney said that President Obama will sign up for Obamacare,
but hes not sure exactly when that will occur.
#54798 Dec 4, 2013
Because Obamacare isnt the traditional liberal welfare plan that simply transfers wealth through taxation over dozens of years.
Nor is it a regulation that directly affects the livelihoods of only a select number of Americans.
Obamacare is a massive federal takeover of an industry most Americans are intimately connected to and its right here, and its right now.
On second thought, the countdown to Obamacare is a little bit like Advent:
Except at the end of all the sweet nothings,
it isnt going to be our savior in a manger
it will be the president barreling down our chimneys.
And, like many Christmases, its going to be pricey.

Hypocrisy, dogma and sabotage: The rights stepping into an Obamacare trap
Contrary to popular opinion, the GOP's hurting itself when it knocks Obamacare. Here's why its attacks are so risky :
You dont have to be an unqualified fan of the Affordable Care Act to recognize the lunacy of most Republican objections to it. From death panels to a loss of liberty, theres only one consistent through-line to most of their objections: They come from Republicans, theyre directed at a Democratic president, and theyre irrational.
The presidents self-imposed deadline for fixing the website has arrived and, while its still far from perfect, the complaints are likely to become broader once again. The Republicans may not realize it, but that way lies danger.
More than once, Democrats have made the mistake of taking victory laps for a plan with very real problems. But the Republicans are setting traps for themselves traps they may find it difficult to escape, especially if Democrats are shrewd enough to take advantage of them.
This shortsightedness already wounded them once, in the 2012 election, when candidate Mitt Romney was forced to attack a program that was nearly identical to the one that Gov. Mitt Romney implemented in Massachusetts. It looked absurd because it was. Romneys campaign was probably always a lost cause, but that didnt help.
For the Republicans, theres more where that came from.
The trouble starts with their gleeful rubbing of hands over the Healthcare.gov rollout. Gloating about the website is unwise for a couple of reasons. First, the websites design and implementation was conducted by a private government contractor, CGI Global, not by government employees. There are many lessons to be learned from the websites problems, but one of them clearly seems to be this: The privatization of government services, a key goal for the Republican Party, can work very poorly.
Accounts of the Obamacare implementation read like a how-to manual in inept contracting with outside corporations, and the administration deserves to take a hit for that. But the problem isnt that government created the website. A larger part of the problem lies in the fact that it used a private contractor to do the job.

Are Republicans sabotaging ObamaCare by frightening younger consumers?
The Republicans scary-movie strategy has some logic to it: If they can frighten young and healthy people from joining the health-care exchanges, the exchanges will become expensive and unmanageable. This is sabotage, plain and simple much like the refusal by red-state governors to participate in setting up the exchanges in the first place. But those sabotaging the new law should be careful what they wish for: Instead of killing the law, they are likely to make it more expensive to taxpayers. Their efforts could have the effect of turning Obamacare, which relies on private insurance and the free market, into just the sort of big-government entitlement Republicans were worried about in the first place.
If they succeed in scaring people away, the ones who join exchanges are likely to be older and sicker, making the insurance pool costlier to insurers. As Larry Levitt, a senior vice president of the Kaiser Family Foundation, explained to me, if costs are more than 3 percent higher than anticipated in the first few years of Obamacare, the federal government will have to pick up at least half of the additional expense.

California GOP Launches Fake ACA Website in a Massive Disinformation Campaign
The latest attempt by the Republican Party to sabotage the Affordable Care Act will absolutely piss you off.
California Republicans specifically, GOP members of the states general assembly sent out mailers to their constituents informing them about the state exchange website, known as Covered California. Only, instead of sending voters to the actual Covered California exchange website, CoveredCA.com , the mailers direct Californians to go to CoveringHealthCareCA.com , which is most definitely not the California exchange.
Writing for Crooks & Liars, Karoli reported:
The fake website, created by the Assembly Republican caucus, tells seniors:Seniors on Medicare may not see changes immediately to their benefits or coverage. Down the line, however, the erosion and accessibility of care may become a problem.
Death panels. You wont be able to get medical care, seniors, because of Obamacare.
Additionally, the site tells young people:Young adults will end up paying for much of federal health care reform by subsidizing the cost of sicker people, or by paying a tax penalty if they do not obtain health insurance under the provisions of the individual mandate, which requires all Californians to have coverage beginning in 2014.
Instead of providing an insurance premium calculator, as many exchanges do, the fake GOP astroturf website features an individual mandate penalty calculator.

The Biggest Problem With Obamacares Rollout Is Being Caused Intentionally by Republicans
The media have been buzzing with stories many of them wildly exaggerated of people facing higher premiums as a result of Obamacare. But theres a story about rates you may not have heard: According to Jonathan Gruber, a leading health care wonk at MIT, all private insurance premiums in the 25 red states that are refusing to expand their Medicaid programs will be 15 percent higher as a direct result of that decision.
But those numbers dont capture the human cost. The reality is that conservatives are complaining about insurance policies being cancelled and the ACAs error-plagued exchanges at the same time as they actively work to keep millions of poor Americans from gaining coverage under the laws Medicaid expansion.
The victims of Obamacares implementation problems being hit the hardest, by far, are those whose incomes fall between the federal poverty line and the eligibility cutoffs in those 25 states rejecting Medicaid expansion. Not only will they be left uncovered, they wont even be eligible for the generous subsidies that people earning slightly more than they do can use to buy insurance. Its brutally unfair. The Kaiser Family Foundation estimates that 4.8 million poor adults may fall into that coverage gap about twice the number of people expected to pay more for their insurance when their substandard policies are cancelled.

So on and so forth...
We want Obamacare repealed whether its good or bad. We dont care about that. I'm just a racist old fool that nobody likes. I spend my life on the internet posting or do I mean copying and pasting Negative make believe stories about Obama. Oh yes, I've posted as many as 10000 or of these bitterly nasty posts because it is my duty to warn all you about the black man's dangerous exploits.
I want to issue a stern warning because contrary to popular belief Obamacare is failing because the web-site isn't working right. I know its working now but that doesn't matter. We right wing stooges will just come up with some other phoney baloney attack on Obama until one sticks for awhile...like Benghazi....god bless you....did somebody sneeze?
But yes Fast and Furiously we do make shtt up against Obama because he really isn't the president because he was born in Kenya. Its just one thing after another with us dumb asssed idiots but we keep marching on into the land of make believe conspiracies. Yes, we do this because its impossible for is to live on Obama's America. Its not like he got elected to the office now is it He would have had to have won an election for that and everyone knows that Mitt Romney won that election by a landslide.
Yes I take pride on being an assshole ..I'm not on any government program either, like Medicare or Social Security and I dont take anything from the socialistic programs because I'm not the hypocrite you think I am....
Blah, blah. Blah....blah-d blah da....blah blah and more blah
On and on ad nauseum...

Ratings in the toilet at ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN, MSNBC, etc., etc.?
FOX is clearly in the minority here.
Because FOX is the only source for news and opinion that is even remotely balanced and pertinent.
The others are merely pets of the Imperial One who fawn over him continually.

Fox News is Americas top outlet for news.
Actually, Fox is a very distant #4 when it comes to who people choose when they watch the news.
ABC, NBC and CBS News all get far more viewers than Fox News. CBS News at #3 gets three times more viewers than Fox News.
You see, Fox relies on the artificial category of cable news to make this claim. They know everyone will get it wrong and imply that Fox News is Americas top outlet for news.
Nope. Not even close.
9 times more people get their news from the top 3 than get it from Fox.
Lets not forget that when they did by party, 94% of Republicans said that theyd watch (and trust) Fox first. And 97% of Republicans said that watch Fox said they refuse to approve of anything Obama does.
This entire poll is a smoking gun for how biased Fox News watchers are- They only watch because it agrees with their little Lets get even with people who questioned our guy! mentality. They want to baselessly hate Obama, Fox and Rush give them what to say when someone calls them on it. Pretty much the end right there.
If you exclude airport waiting rooms and nursing homes where Fux Noise serves as a nightlight, the percentage of viewers drops below 5%.

Now that obummercare is a complete failure, let us move on to income inequality.
Let's make it $10.20, and because a lot of union wages are based on minimum wage everyone gets a raise.

And --- now widely seen for what he is --
- the president presents a problem for the Democrat-captured media.
They pump out his propaganda for him --- and, like the opinion monitors in Ayn Rands novel,Atlas Shrugged--- they are dodging brickbats and rotten vegetables.
Hes pompous, pampered, and pretentious --- a pseudo-intellectual flop.
Hes a glorified, smooth-lyin dandy, and slicker than Sick Willie Clinton.
Hes a dictator-on-the-make, a bloodsucking, predatory humanitarian thug, and a low-down skunk.
Hes a fraud and a swindler.
He lies when he inhales and he lies when he exhales; his oxygen is the falsification of reality.
He lies, placidly and laconically, as if deception were a soporific drug.
Hes a friend of the poor and the downtrodden --- indeed, you can hear the milk of human kindness sloshing around inside of him when he walks.
He declares himself the post-racial leader ---Let me be clear! he intones --- and he hides behind his race, daring his critics to put their reputation for fairness at risk.
He pauses to ponder the portent of his propaganda --- and it is fakery; he smiles and his mendacity comes shining through.
Shake hands with Barak Hushpuppy OhBummer

John Boehner Says The GOP Should Be More 'Sensitive' To Women, Support Gay Candidates
WASHINGTON -- House Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) said Thursday that he believes Republicans are making progress toward appealing to women voters, but they still have work to do.
"[We're] trying to get them to be a little more sensitive," Boehner said of fellow Republicans at a press conference. "You know, you look around the Congress, there are a lot more females in the Democratic caucus than there are in the Republican conference. And some of our members just aren't as sensitive as they ought to be."
Some Republican members are receiving training from the National Republican Congressional Committee on how to run against female candidates in an effort to stop the GOP's trend of poor performance among women voters.
Then-Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney lost to President Barack Obama among women voters in 2012, and the party was harmed in congressional races by several candidates' missteps on women's issues. One of the biggest examples was failed Senate candidate Todd Akin, who drew criticism from outside and inside the party for saying victims of "legitimate rape" rarely get pregnant.
