You are describing the current system. That's one of the major changes that the ACA brings - it sets up exchanges where rates for everyone are group rates. The exchange is a big group, containing premium costs for everyone.<quoted text>If your employer provides healthcare for you under their company umbrella plan you wont find cheaper healthcare insurance anywhere.Group plans are always cheaper. Try to purchase your own healthcare and it will unaffordable . Just ask around. if you buy the cheaper insurance you will pay higher deductables, more out of pocket money, limited choices of doctors and hospitals. I know a few people in that position. So you get what you pay for.Obamacare will only hurt the working class ( the middle man ) since the rich can afford to pay and the poor dont have to pay.
The situation you describe is one of the reasons healthcare reform was so necessary - the working class and working poor are being screwed while the rich get some of the best care in the world. Healthcare reform intends to FIX the problem you're describing.
