Obama's spending adds $4 billion to the national debt every day
You treasonous bastard
I read a TIME article covering an interview with the then governor Bush. Something in his words made me say out loud, "This man intends to bankrupt the country." So two wars, Medicare Part D, and huge tax cuts to the wealthy later, the enormous forces of wealth and power are poised to completely dismantle the middle class and crush the sense of social obligation. "Mission Accomplished" for Georgie.
I'm always amazed how willing many of my fellow citizens are ready to act like lemmings and go over the cliff. Or maybe a better comparison is national suicide in the name of trickle down economics.
The rich have been doing it to the poor and the middle class for centuries yet the imbeciles in the majority of the population are still willing to lie legs open and listen to TV commercials of the rich pigs instead of halting the bath of selfishness and racism that the demons give them every day. Damn, America!! Have some self-respect!! Turn off your TVs when your pimp Rethuglicans come on! Stop watching Fox News upside down between your legs!! Nothing will change until the prostituted people stop bending over for the rich, obtain some measure of dignity, think critically about who is really screwing them and send them to hell at the next election.

The tax cuts and deficit spending of former US President George W. Bush's administration were attempts to "starve the beast."
Bush said in 2001 "so we have the tax relief plan [...] that now provides a new kind—a fiscal straightjacket for Congress.
And that's good for the taxpayers, and it's incredibly positive news if you're worried about a federal government that has been growing at a dramatic pace over the past eight years and it has been.

Idiocy is not the exclusive realm of the brain-dead right, although it has an over abundance of it. No, anyone who takes anything that emanates from the mainstream at face value, and fails to examine evidence to the contrary, some of which is overwhelming and irrefutable, and summarily dismisses it out of hand as so much "conspiracy theory", is also a complete idiot. That, unfortunately, is most people.

If the Bush tax cuts are so fvcked, why has your black messiah insisted they remain?
maybe to pay foe obummercare?
I love the blatant racism. Well done. Obama wanted the tax cuts for the wealthy gone, and yes, to get revenue to pay for health care... as well as ALL other federal spending. You aren't very bright are you? Obama insisted they remain for the middle class. "Job creators" is a term used by you right wing nuts to describe the wealthy, who will spend in their infinite wisdom to create jobs... except they don't... because it doesn't work like that. The argument is convincing enough though to get uneducated people to buy into a religious belief... which is what supply side economics is... because to believe it you need blind faith totally divorced from reality... as described by all facts and data. Any other racist rants? Please say yes.

If you want to go with the taxes going up argument, fine, let's talk about what tax that was that went up... the Payroll tax. The stimulus from a few years ago instituted a payroll tax holiday... it was never intended that it stay permanent. The expiration of the payroll tax holiday does what? Causes taxes to go up, yes. Meaning smaller paychecks, yes. For what? Consider what the payroll tax is used for... Social Security... which everyone except nut jobs is in favor of. Moral of the story... social security has to be funded... and being defunded for the past few years was quite enough. We aren't at a near depression anymore. People favor social security, so the tax holiday was ended. Everyone knew this, and this is not a surprise at all. Even the most liberal senators were in favor of this. If you didn't know this was going to happen, then you either don't follow the news or you don't know what you're talking about.

Expanding the sales tax to services will drive major firms engaged in services such as law, engineering, and accounting out of the state, along with many high-paying jobs. This tax would make such firms non-competitive with other states.

This bill is a disaster.

In an interview with ABC’s Diane Sawyer and George Stephanopoulos during ABC’s special inauguration day coverage this morning, former Secretary of State Colin Powell lashed out at people in the Republican Party who spent the last four years spreading “birther nonsense” and other “things that demonize the president,” calling on GOP leaders to denounce such talk — publicly.

“Republicans have to stop buying into things that demonize the president. I mean, why aren’t Republican leaders shouting out about all this birther nonsense and all these other things? They should speak out. This is the kind of intolerance that I’ve been talking about where these idiot presentations continue to be made and you don’t see the senior leadership of the party say,‘No, that’s wrong.’ In fact, sometimes by not speaking out, they’re encouraging it. And the base keeps buying the stuff.

The SS tax holiday should've never happened.

The government has been using it as a piggy bank since LBJ.

Why do illegals get it?

The $110k cap should be raised considerably.

Why don't you dump those stupid idiotic state stores along with about 4,000 worthless overpaid public sector union pigs.
Absolutely a good idea.

Problem is that the system is protected by an unholy coalition of religious extremists opposed to alcohol and a state liquor store clerk union dedicated to preserving their overpaid positions. Some of the most "conservative" born-again Republicans are protecting the union.

So we just drive to Delaware.

The decrease in social security contributions (FICA, the Federal Insurance Contribution Act is not a tax, it's a contribution) was simply a way to pay off people who don't pay federal income tax...nothing more and nothing less. It did nothing to improve the economy, on only made SS that much closer to insolvency.
It was a payoff to Obama voters, as was the so-called "stimulus". Did you notice that the unemployment rate is pretty much the same since he took office the first time?
Who's the liar?
No, unfortunately.

Social Security is a tax, not a contribution. Paying the tax funds current benefits and does not give the payer any right to any future benefits.

Only if the limit on benefits is also increased.
