The congressional cons don't seem to be that afraid of the racial hating tea bag club any more as they have just voted to raise taxes, impressive. The next political battle the tea bags will lose is the raising of the debt ceiling. President obama and the patriotic American voters have spoken and tea bags don't. Like it, but no one really cares.

No - check that - it IS funny, mostly BECAUSE it's so pathetic.

Strange the Senate took the lead there.

I thought budget bills were supposed to be originated in the House.

Or did I misread the Constitution again?

Some perspective:

----------

The Presidency Costs Taxpayers A Lot, But That’s Not Obama’s Fault

Today’s outrage of the day is apparently the fact that the total cost of running the White House under the Obama Administration reached $1.4 billion
...
Gray doesn’t say where he came up with this number, but one presumes it comes from the Federal Budget. It’s a lot of money, of course, and it’s caused no small degree of outrage on conservative blogs.

There’s just one problem, Gray’s assertion that costs associated with the Presidency have “tremendously” increased since Obama took office simply isn’t true.

To establish that, we need only look at a paper produced by the Brookings Institution’s Bradley Patterson [PDF] in which, in one chapter, he lays out the question of what it costs to run the White House.
...
Patterson attempted to do that for the Fiscal Year 2008 budget and came up with a figure of $1,592,875,254.
...
it seems rather obvious from comparing these two figures that the assertion that the costs to the taxpayer associated with the Presidency have increased “tremendously” under President Obama are, quite simply, wrong.

You ignorant dumbass. Show me where I said the Daily Caller is a fact based news source. Show me where I said it is not a fact based news source. You can't, so you're once again the Topix dumbass.

Now try pulling your head out of your drunken ass and do some research.

Obama is a big spender you dumbass. Anyone with an IQ above 70 can see this....I guess you're out of luck in this area.

To support Obama and his socialist agenda you must be either an idiot or you depend on me (taxpayer" to support your lazy ass. In your case I think both apply.

According to the Congressional Budget Office, the last-minute fiscal cliff deal reached by congressional leaders and President Barack Obama cuts only $15 billion in spending while increasing tax revenues by $620 billion—a 41:1 ratio of tax increases to spending cuts.

Fiscal Cliff Deal:$1 in Spending Cuts for Every $41 in Tax Increases.

Obama wants more tax hikes in the new year too.

I'm financially secure and I hope Obama puts the tax rates up to 75% thus driving the cost of living well above your measly monthly government check. You parasites on the left will never see what Obama and the likes of him are really about until you lose your beer money, cable, internet, free heat, free lights, free rent and free Obama phone. I'm sure I left a lot out.

The governors of New York and New Jersey came down hard on the Republican-controlled House Wednesday, saying it was “inexcusable” that Congress failed to act on disaster aid and that those hurt by Hurricane Sandy “can no longer afford to wait while politicians in Washington play games.”

New Jersey Republican Gov. Chris Christie has scheduled an afternoon press conference to follow up on the statement issued together with New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo, a Democrat. Christie’s criticism of the House follows an emotional speech in Washington by Rep. Peter King (R-N.Y) taking Speaker John Boehner to task for cancelling a promised vote this week on the aid.

With all that New York and New Jersey and our millions of residents and small businesses have suffered and endured, this continued inaction and indifference by the House of Representatives is inexcusable,” the governors said.“It has now been 66 days since Hurricane Sandy hit and 27 days since President Obama put forth a responsible aid proposal that passed with a bipartisan vote in the Senate while the House has failed to even bring it to the floor. This failure to come to the aid of Americans following a severe and devastating natural disaster is unprecedented.”

“The fact that days continue to go by while people suffer, families are out of their homes, and men and women remain jobless and struggling during these harsh winter months is a dereliction of duty. When American citizens are in need we come to their aid. That tradition was abandoned in the House last night.”

Anger erupts after House scraps vote on Sandy aid:

New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie and other Northeastern lawmakers rip into House Speaker John Boehner and the GOP-led House for delaying disaster relief.
"

"
"

There is nothing but anger and fury coming from New York and New Jersey politicians on Wednesday, as President Obama and Republicans lash out at House Speaker John Boehner and the GOP-led House for skipping a vote on federal aid to help victims of Superstorm Sandy.

New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, a Republican, blamed the "toxic" nature of Congress and "palace intrigue" in Washington on Wednesday for the failure to help people 66 days after Hurricane Sandy made landfall in his state.

"There's only one group to blame for the continued suffering of these innocent victims: The House majority and their speaker, Rep. John Boehner," Christie said during a news conference in Trenton. "Folks are putting politics ahead of their responsibilities. New Jerseyans and New Yorkers are tired of being treated like second-class citizens."

"
"
"
"
"
"
"

"The House of Representatives has refused to act, even as there are families and communities who still need our help to rebuild in the months and years ahead," Obama said in a statement, stressing that there are people who "need immediate support with the bulk of winter in front of us."

"When tragedy strikes, Americans come together to support those in need," the president said.
