In February, the Congressional Budget Office published its latest report on the "estimated impact" of the stimulus.

Although it had originally estimated the stimulus would cost $787 billion, CBO now says it will cost $831 billion.

In the second quarter of 2012, CBO estimates, somewhere between 200,000 to 1.2 million people have jobs they otherwise would not have were it not for the stimulus.

Assuming, optimistically, that the number is 1.2 million, that means each of those jobs cost taxpayers $692,500.

As time goes on, the maximum number of jobs sustained by Obama's stimulus will decline rapidly.

By the first quarter of 2013, it will sustain between 100,000 and 600,000 jobs, says CBO.

If it is 600,000, each of those jobs will have cost taxpayers $1,385,000.
.
.
.

By the fourth quarter of 2013, the maximum number of jobs it sustains will be 400,000 — at a cost to taxpayers of $2,077,500 per job.
.
.
.

It is true that Obama entered office in the midst of a deep recession.

But, according to the National Bureau of Economic Research, that recession ended in June 2009, almost three years ago.

.
.
.
.
— at a cost to taxpayers of $2,077,500 per job.

.
.

If this story holds - he's history.

General, have you forgotten how bush stole the election in Florida with the aide of his right wing supreme court? Or how Ohio went down in bush reelection? That stuff must be fine with you, huh? I have yet to call you any thing your not representing so did bush ever win the popular vote? Do you believe in voter suppression?

let's hope people turn out Tuesday and vote democrat in the state house and sate senate races and the democrats gain some substantial numbers, Corbett will be going through hell his last two years in office, just what he deserves.
It is pretty amazing that no one running on the republican side has had Corbett out campaigning with them, that speaks volumes.

I noticed FOX is no longer predicting a Romney win. They pulled all those articles down. Karl Rove wrote another article yesterday saying that Obama will win because of the storm. He is trying to save some face from his article last week when he guaranteed a Romney win. LMAO

“MODERATE MITT” HYPOCRACY—INDEED!
THE ADS Romney is running in the closing days of this campaign says it all: there is indeed no “moderate Mitt”—just like everything we already know about this man, it is a sham. Now he is playing up racist sentiments about welfare, and about the auto-industry—all patently false and discredited by the media. The extremist, wicked soul Mitt who wants to win with negatives and division and racism is back, you might begin to think that the KKK is contracted to run his campaign. This guy is a phony. Remember that during the recent Presidential debates, Romney tried to present himself as a moderate. He said he is a compromiser who was able to work with Democrats as Mass. Governor. Folks: Look at the action, NOT WORDS! Action tells you everything you need to know about a man. Romney couldn’t even see the value of Christie, a Republican Governor, working with the President to fix ravages of the storm. Another glaring case in point: Romney cut an ad, his only ad., for extremist candidate Mourdock of Indiana, a man who openly rejected the notion of compromise and specifically said he would NOT compromise with Democrats if elected. Romney says in his endorsement that this is the kind of person he would like to see in the Senate. That says it all. To add insult to injury, a day after receiving Romney’s ad. endorsement, Mourdock came up with his latest bombshell: that rape is God’s will. This is the man Romney is supporting? Romney still supports him and wouldn’t ask Mourdock to pull his endorsement ad. Amazing time in America! WHY are WOMEN or any moderate tolerating this sham of a candidate? It is even more insult for any one to call this man a “bishop” of any religion! Where is the moral restraint? Where is the moral core? Where is truthfulness and compassion for others. Romney is just a selfish individualist who thinks only about himself and his kind!!! And this guy wants to be President?

Romney peaked about three weeks too soon

And even his peak was not enough to make him President.

This election is SO over.

Here's the simple facts - folks

He makes $20M/yr and has a $100M IRA

For 16 years he has given the Mormon church the amount of money he would have paid in taxes. They then consider this an "annuity" and pay Romney back tax free interest on his money every year.

So, Romney is using the Mormon church as a Cayman Island bank to launder his money back to himself.

This was a tax loophole that they closed years ago - but he was somehow "grandfathered" in and continue to use it until he knew it would become an issue during the election - so he didn't use it for the past 2 years. And that's why he only released 2 years of tax returns.

End of story.

When the catholic church takes your money - they keep it for their own wealth - when the Mormon church takes your money, it's a CD where they pay you back interest!

Some relevant analysis for our local wingnuts...

----------

Matthew Dowd told ABC News that every time "you feel a losing campaign, these three things happen":

"The first thing happens is, don't believe -- the public polls are wrong. That's the first sign of a campaign that's about to lose.

The second thing, we're going to change the nature of the electorate, and you're not seeing it reflected in the polls.

And the third thing is, the only poll that counts is Election Day.

When you hear those things, you know you're about to lose."

----------

"The only poll that counts is election day."

Hmmmmm...now where do I keep hearing that?

Here are a couple of important questions for millions of folks who may be undecided or have paid little attention to politics in the last few years.

A) If you lost your home or life savings, was it during or right after the issues created during the republican years?

B) How long did it take you to get a home or life savings, was it 4 years?

C) If you do not have a (personal) satisfactory financial situation, do you think is because President Obama or because of other very personal issues such as skills, not used saving money. not being organized, still recovering from the 2008 financial or housing crash, live in a very small town where it is hard to feel progress, or any other family issue?

D) Do you truly believe your issues will be fixed by Myth Romney?

E) Do you think republicans will go on another weapons of mass distraction such as Iran, and can we afford another war debt when we have to pay for the Bush/Cheney wars for another 25 yeas?

F) Do you think that Myth Romney recognizes the work and efforts YOU made for you and your country during the last 3.5 years when he says everything is worst than before?

G) If You are a woman, gay, minority or have low income, do you think Myth Romney will be better for you or would you like to be able to have the opportunity to do your part and keep moving forward?
