Obama's #2, Joe Biden, makes ANOTHER gaffe, this one seemingly Freudian.

"Vice President Joe Biden during a stop in Beloit, Wisc., on Friday made a surprising revelation: He has never been proud being President Obama’s VP."

“There’s never been a day in the last four years I’ve been proud to be his vice president,” Biden told the crowd.“Not one single day.”

Poor Joe. He's useful on he ticket in making Obama look bright.

We all hope for Obama's continued good health.

How pathetic that the rabid Obama-haters interpret relatively good economic news as if it's horrible.

That tells it all - their irrational hatred blinds them to economic improvement.

The rightwing extremists have allowed their irrational hatred of the President to cause them to actually HOPE FOR bad economic news. And when it doesn't come that way, they react as if it was anyway.

So sad. Pure Obama Derangement Syndrome.

Oh, it's not "irrational hatred" danny BOY. You delude yourself.

Rational, thinking Americans are disgusted by the pathetic dishonesty of spinning an INCREASE in the percentage of unemployed and under employed Americans as "relatively good economic news."

The unemployment rate in Obama's 45th month of 'leadership' is HIGHER than the month he assumed office.

Now THAT'S incompetent economic 'leadership'.

If only Obama HAD been able to lead the nation to better unemployment news we'd all be better off.

But he hasn't. It's beyond his community organizer skill set.

Obama epitomizes the Peter Principle in having risen to his highest level of incompetence.

It's too bad for us all but particularly for those 23 MILLION long-suffering Americans who are unemployed or under employed.

Obama's presidency is a disaster for America and Americans.

The much-awaited and final pre-election Bureau of Labor unemployment numbers were released this morning, and, for what that malleable number is worth, the rate ticked back up to 7.9 percent, taking some of the wind out of Barack Obama's "road to recovery" rhetoric.

Though Obama will find a way to take credit for private sector job growth with his socialist "we've created jobs" mantra, the fact is that job creation is more accurately a reflection of how resilient the private sector is despite Obama's interventionist economic policies.

As you recall, a few weeks before the Republican Convention in Tampa, Obama declared, "The private sector is doing fine," and insisted that we really need more government [read "union"] jobs. His Senate lap dog, Harry Reid, reiterated, "It's very clear that private sector jobs have been doing just fine. It's the public sector jobs where we've lost huge numbers." Actually, it's the public sector that's "doing just fine." That unemployment rate has fallen precipitously this year, and is now just 4.2 percent.

And tell black workers that things are "just fine." Unemployment among blacks was 13.4 percent in September but jumped to 14.3 percent in October -- almost a full percentage point.

Don't put the saddle back on this dead horse.

The Simple Case for Saying Obama Is the Favorite

The simplest analysis of the polls would argue that Mr. Obama is winning. He’s been ahead in the vast majority of polls in Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota, New Mexico, Nevada, Ohio, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin, and all the other states where the Democrat normally wins. These states add up to more than 270 electoral votes. It isn’t complicated.

To argue that Mr. Romney is ahead, or that the election is a “tossup,” requires that you disbelieve the polls, or that you engage in some complicated interpretation of them. The FiveThirtyEight model represents a complicated analysis of the polls, but simplicity is on its side, in this case.

171k may have beat expectations but our expectations are low for this economy.

We need around 250k to keep up.

7.9% unemployment and above for 4 years is totally unacceptable and that is not the real unemployment including those who gave up.

If China can grow at or near double digits we should be able to also.

China"s GDP growth drops from 12.5% to 11.2% and they panic.

Ours grows from 1.7% to 2.0% and we celebrate.

This economic growth of the last 4 years plus isn't going to cut it.

Fiscal and monetary policies in place have failed.

We need leadership and can start with removing obummer and then let Romney revise the Government best he can and we as voters target Congress and State government in this election and the following ones and make JOBS #! PRIORITY!!

Rational people who are not suffering from Obama Derangement Syndrome and aren't rooting for a weaker economy recognize the good in today's jobs numbers.

----------

Why the October Jobs Report Is Even Better Than It Looks

First, the BLS actually discovered 255,000 new jobs.

Second, and somewhat counter-intuitively, the fact that the unemployment rate went up is good news about today's economy. Calculated in a second survey of households by the BLS, the rate moved to 7.9% as more people entered the labor force.

More people looking for work is good news, but when job seekers grow faster than jobs, the unemployment rate ticks up. The rising unemployment rate doesn't mean the economy is getting weaker. It means discouraged workers are feeling more encouraged because the economy is getting stronger.

Third, although every jobs report is subject to revisions, we're getting a clear picture of a strengthening recovery beyond today's headline....170,000 isn't just October's first estimate. It's also our new three-month average. And it's considerably better than the year's average. Things are getting better faster.

Where is this new-look recovery coming from? It's coming from the beginning of a real housing recovery and the end of government austerity. In 2010 and 2011, the economy lost 477,000 public sector jobs. This year, we've added 20,000. That's made a huge difference.

More analysis from the reality-based universe...

----------

U.S. job growth accelerates, exceeds expectations

The U.S. economy created 171,000 jobs in October, far more than expected, while American businesses created 184,000 jobs -- the best month for the private sector since February.

The overall unemployment rate ticked slightly higher, to 7.9%, but that's the result of a positive trend -- more Americans entered the workforce, which is exactly what we'd hope to see in an improving economy.

Even more encouraging, the new report revised job totals from August and September, and both were updated in a good direction, adding a combined 84,000.

For context, I'd note that so far in 2012 (which still has two months to go), the economy has created over 1.56 million jobs, which is already better than five of the eight years of the Bush/Cheney era.

US economy adds 171K jobs; rate rises to 7.9 pct.

U.S. employers added 171,000 jobs in October, and hiring was stronger in August and September than first thought. The solid job growth showed that the economy is strengthening slowly but consistently.
...
Since July, the economy has created an average of 173,000 jobs a month. That's up from 67,000 a month from April through June. Still, President Barack Obama will face voters with the highest unemployment rate of any incumbent since Franklin Roosevelt and slightly higher than the 7.8 percent on Inauguration Day.

The work force — the number of people either working or looking for work — rose by 578,000 in October. And 410,000 more people said they were employed. The difference is the reason the unemployment rate rose slightly.

By gosh you're finally getting it danny BOY! Good for you!

Polls don't elect people. Votes do.

President Truman and Scott Walker know the unreliability of pre-election polls. Polls immediately prior to their elections predicted both as election losers.

Much as you do Romney.

Behold the wingnut mind's infinite capacity for self-deception!

LMAO!

The ability of the wingnut mind to desperately distort reality to support their failed political ideology never ceases to amaze me.

Hopefully they'll snap back to reality next Tuesday.

But I doubt it. None of them has ever demonstrated a capacity to re-evaluate their extremist ideology even in the face of irrefutable reality.
