This is the most idiotic thing I have ever seen.

First off you don't own shit. You don't need to guess what to do idiot. You get a job and pay for your own pots and pans and then you won't need to suck on the dried pasta. You can also take that skank girlfriend out for a nice dinner instead of sponging off her.

But then, "normal" and "Romney" are not often words that work together.

And while we're at it, does anyone else notice that every single time he's done one of these fake man-of-the-people schticks he's worn the exact same blue-checked shirt?

That he staged a phony food drive in Ohio shows he has no vision
I think that's a great idea sonny. Where did you still it? Since Obama has raised more money than Romney he can donate his money to the Red Cross. Oh wait. Obama only gives pennies to charity unlike Romney who gives millions. Obama is not spreading his wealth around like he wants. Obama is a tight wad....he doesn't give he only takes.

What everyone seems to be missing is the point about where Mitt's campaign picked up that $5000 of relief supplies...Walmart.

Instead of doing what he claims is a main focus of his campaign and economic plan, supporting small businesses, his staff runs off to one of the greatest destroyers of small businesses our country has ever known to get what they want. Couldn't they find a family owned grocery store or at least a local grocery chain to spend that $5000 at? Plenty of small businesses would have killed to have someone like these guys roll in and drop $5000 in their store all at once, as it might make the difference between making a profit that month rather than having to draw on their line of credit (if they're lucky enough to still have one.) But no such "putting your money where your mouth is" from Team Romney.

He's spent the campaign talking about the importance of small businesses, but when he actually has a chance to do something that might support one, he throws the cash instead to some of his fellow 1%ers.

The plan was for supporters to bring hurricane relief supplies to the event, and then deliver the bags of canned goods, packages of diapers, and cases of water bottles to the candidate, who would be perched behind a table along with a slew of volunteers and his Ohio right-hand man, Senator Rob Portman. To complete the project and photo-op, Romney would lead his crew in carrying the goods out of the gymnasium and into the Penske rental truck parked outside.
But the last-minute nature of the call for donations left some in the campaign concerned that they would end up with an empty truck. So the night before the event, campaign aides went to a local Wal Mart and spent $5,000 on granola bars, canned food, and diapers to put on display while they waited for donations to come in, according to one staffer.(The campaign confirmed that it "did donate supplies to the relief effort," but would not specify how much it spent.)
(...)
As supporters lined up to greet the candidate, a young volunteer in a Romney/Ryan t-shirt stood near the tables, his hands cupped around his mouth, shouting, "You need a donation to get in line!"
Empty-handed supporters pled for entrance, with one woman asking, "What if we dropped off our donations up front?"
The volunteer gestured toward a pile of groceries conveniently stacked near the candidate. "Just grab something they are taking pictures," he said.
I don't see any mention of Obama donating anything. Oh, that's right he donated he time by making a speech. Speeches don't put food on the table for those in need. Yes, a speech was more important to Obama, he needs to look good after lying about our Libyan Ambassador and 3 others were murdered. I wonder how any human could watch their deaths live while denying any help.

Why isn't Romney's food drive photo op helping him in Ohio?

President Obama's numbers just keep on going up there in Ohio over his.

Additional Details
Did you see how he was dealing with the people there in Ohio? Many of them he totally ignored. They'd hand him the bags of food, and try to say hello to him, and he'd snatch the bags from their hands and sling it into the truck, as if to say, look I ain't got time for you, just give me the darn bag and move on. He never seems sincere/genuine. You can see right through his facade. And as someone said, the Red Cross is not asking for food because they need money more to buy cots, place people in hotels/shelters, buy them toiletries etc. So why put on such a show?

In-kind donations still help, of course, and nobody’s turning away boxes of food. But a fundamental issue is that many organizations feel that asking for money—like requesting cash as a gift—seems somewhat gauche. So, let me be rude on their behalf: Find well-managed charities in your community and trust them to know how to do their job. They have access to food at a fraction of the price. They know their clients, and they have better things to do than to sort through your canned goods. And from your perspective, it’s much easier to document a monetary donation for tax purposes. Good intentions are lovely, but particularly in hard times it’s more important to make sure your charitable dollars go as far as possible. Can the cans. Hand over some cash.

Friend --

There's still time to meet Barack and get two of the best seats in the house on Election Night. If you make a donation today, you'll be automatically entered to join us in Chicago for his big speech.

You'll be right in the middle of all the action on Election Night, and if Barack wins, you'll know you played an important part in making that happen and moving our country forward.

We'll fly you and a guest to Chicago, put you up in a hotel, and make sure you're right up front when Barack gives his speech.

What he'll say that night depends entirely on what we do right now.

I don't have to tell you, this election is close.

Barack needs you. Please chip in $5 or whatever you can today:

I know we ask a lot of you. Thank you for everything -- we're almost there.

Romney Fake $ 5,000 Wall Mart Food for Sandy Relief

Oct. 31, 2012 The funny thing about Mitt Romney’s newest trick or treat is that his Ohio Relief Fund drive is in fact a fake. Another photo-op engineered to make it look like Mitt Romney actually cares about other American families going through a disaster.

Romney’s campaign actually purchased $ 5,000.00 worth of junk food made in China from Wal-Mart and placing it in front of people who grabbed it pretending they were bringing donations for the victims of Hurricane Sandy on the east coast.

Buzzfeed reports:

“But the last-minute nature of the call for donations left some in the campaign concerned that they would end up with an empty truck. So the night before the event, campaign aides went to a local Wal-Mart and spent $5,000 on granola bars, canned food, and diapers to put on display while they waited for donations to come in, according to one staffer.(The campaign confirmed that it “did donate supplies to the relief effort,” but would not specify how much it spent.)”

The kicker here is not only is the food from Wal-Mart but 99% of Wal-Mart’s products are made in China!!

When Mitt Romney arrived at the high school where this junk food was displayed to look like it actually came from donations, Romney then went into a story about how in high school he cleaned up a football field. The crowd applauded as if we are to believe crowds do appear for Romney events after the photoshopped pictures of an event in Nevada.
