10.$3 Trillion Tab for Unfunded Wars Remains Unpaid
Over the next ten years, the costs of America's wars in Iraq and Afghanistan will decline as the U.S. commitments there come to an end. But almost ten years, 6,000 U.S. dead and over a trillion dollars after the attacks of September 11, it's time to pay for our wars.

But in addition to the roughly $1.5 trillion tally for both conflicts through the theoretical 2014 American draw down date in Afghanistan, the U.S. faces staggering bills for veterans' health care and disability benefits. Last May, an analysis by the Center for American Progress estimated the total projected total cost of Iraq and Afghanistan veterans' health care and disability could reach between $422 billion to $717 billion. Reconstruction aid and other development assistance represent tens of billions more, as does the additional interest on the national debt. And none of the above counts the expanded funding for the new Department of Homeland Security.

Imagine if Gore had won in 2000. Imagine what the country would be like today. He would have protected the surplus and goodness only knows how much better this county would possibly be now. We know the bush tax cuts would never have happened, we would have never invaded Iraq and possibly special ops would have taken out Osama long before now. Imagine!

Republicans dont mind the govt spending a lot of money-if its something they agree with.

Bolstered by new polls and fresh off their vote to bar an increase in the nation's $16 trillion debt ceiling, House Republicans swaggered into the White House Wednesday for the latest negotiation to end their economic hostage taking. One, Rep. Jeff Landry of Louisiana, refused to attend and be "lectured to by a president whose failed policies have put our children and grandchildren in a huge burden of debt."

Sadly for Rep. Landry, the nation's mounting debt is largely attributable to wars, a recession and tax policies President Obama inherited from his predecessor. Worse still, the Ryan 2012 budget proposal backed by almost every Republican in both houses of Congress would not only drain another $4 trillion in tax revenue from the Treasury, but fail all of the spending and balanced budget targets they themselves propose. Nevertheless, Republicans who voted seven times to double the debt ceiling under George W. Bush would risk the national economic suicide they admit would come to pass if their demands are not met.

Here, then, are 10 Inconvenient Truths About the Debt Ceiling:

1. Republican Leaders Agree U.S. Default Would Be a "Financial Disaster"
2. Ronald Reagan Tripled the National Debt
3. George W. Bush Doubled the National Debt
4. Republicans Voted Seven Times to Raise Debt Ceiling for President Bush
5. Federal Taxes Are Now at a 60 Year Low
6. Bush Tax Cuts Didn't Pay for Themselves or Spur "Job Creators"
7. Ryan Budget Delivers Another Tax Cut Windfall for Wealthy
8. Ryan Budget Will Require Raising Debt Ceiling - Repeatedly
9. Tax Cuts Drive the Next Decade of Debt

When Mr. Obama will you come forward with the truth. Its been weeks, you cannot bury this story.

Obama avoids question on whether Americans in Libya were denied requests for help

President Obama declined to answer directly whether a CIA annex was denied urgent requests for military assistance during the deadly attacks last month on U.S. outposts in Libya.

The president did not give a yes-or-no answer Friday when asked pointedly whether the Americans under attack in Benghazi, Libya, were denied requests for help during the attack.

Fox News has also learned that a request from the CIA annex for backup was later denied.

The first attack occurred at the American consulate in Benghazi, killing U.S. Ambassador Christopher Stevens and U.S. diplomat Sean Smith.

Former Navy SEAL Tyrone Woods was part of a small team that was at the CIA annex about a mile from the consulate when it came under attack. Upon hearing shots fired, team members asked higher-ups at the annex if they could go the consulate. However, they were told to "stand down," according to sources familiar with the exchange.

Woods and at least two others ignored those orders and went to the consulate, evacuating survivors and Smith, who had been killed in the initial attack.

They could not find the ambassador and returned to the CIA annex at about midnight. At that point, they called again for military support and help because they were taking fire at the CIA safe house, or annex. The request was denied. Woods and fellow former Navy SEAL Glen Doherty were killed at the annex by a mortar shell at 4 a.m.

Obama also said in the TV interview, as he said previously said, the administration is going to “investigate what happened to make sure it never happens again” and find out who was involved in the attack so they can be brought to justice.

Portman:'If we don't win Ohio, it's tough to see us winning the election nationally'

FAIRVIEW PARK, OH -- Ohio Sen. Rob Portman, the chairman of Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney's campaign in the Buckeye State, said Friday that it would be tough for Romney to win the election without carrying Ohio.

Early voting has Obama up 57% to Romney's 36%..
Not good for Romney.........

In other Polls: Obama holds his lead in Iowa, Wisconsin

With fewer than 10 days until Election Day, new NBC News/Wall Street Journal/Marist polls show President Barack Obama maintaining his lead over Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney in the battleground states of Iowa and Wisconsin.

According to the polls – which were conducted from Monday through Wednesday, encompassing Tuesday’s presidential debate in New York and after – Obama receives the support of 51 percent of likely voters in Iowa to Romney’s 43 percent.

Mitt loses his state of Mass where he was Governor, that should tell you something, Ryan losing Wisconsin where he is a congressman, what's that tell you.
Romney losing in Michigan where him and his wife were born, what's that tell you?

The clock is ticking for this R/R dog and pony show are running out.

Face the facts,,,,,,,,,,the more these clowns talk ,the more thye go down in the polls......

THE CLEAR CHOICE

Early Voting Explodes in Nevada
Early voting is roaring ahead in Nevada, with 150,000 people voting in person and another 30,000 voting by absentee ballot, just in Clark County (home to Las Vegas), in the first five days of voting. Of the votes cast so far, 50% were from registered Democrats and 33% from registered Republicans. Statewide, 23,000 more Democrats have voted so far than Republicans.

In addition to the presidential race, there is a heated race for the Senate seat currently occupied by appointed-senator Dean Heller. He is being challenged by Rep. Shelley Berkley (D-NV). If far more Democrats vote, Berkley may be carried over the finish line on Obama's coattails. Polls have been showing her behind Heller. Democrats have a 90,000-voter advantage in Nevada, so a high turnout will help them. At least Nevada doesn't have to worry about Hurricane Sandy. It is expected to be bright and sunny out in the desert all week.

Wrong, the latest poll released today shows a tie in Ohio. Little by little Romney has chipped away at Obama's sure wins, leads, now Romney leads in the popular vote and electoral vote. It may have taken some Obama voters awhile to see through Obama and the Independents to decide but the wait was well worth it and now everything needed for a win is on Romney's side and what a win it's going to be.

The Libyan scandal, this is all Obama has left and it's not going to help him only hurt him. This is the reason he is ignoring the press, Americans demands for an explanation. This scandal is Obama's final nail in his coffin.
