The best advice the father-in-law could give his son-in-law in this case is to stay in Texas. They thought he could sneak one past everyone, but they got caught...so, they should save some face in the situation!!

@ yo mama- You are seriously going to call someone else an idiot, but you cannot even spell the it correctly???? WOW!!

If the current school board wants to hold onto their seats at the next election, then they will realize they made a mistake and correct it!!! If Moyer wants to retain any shred of respect, then he should listen to the advice given above....there are better (and more ethical) ways to get your daughter home for the holidays and they are called plane tickets!!

Not asking for your humility....you merely just need to stop calling people "idiots" and "morons" on here...especially if you cannot spell it correctly:)

p.s. Where you write "everybodies" should be "everybody's"...sorr y couldn't resist:)

Nope....not awesome...just right on this one, since you cannot seem to come up with anything reasonably intelligent to back up your viewpoint that this kid is qualified for this position on his own merits. The board needs to step up and fix this mistake now or when he does make that first mistake, which will probably be sooner rather than later!!!

The only this article is missing is the fact that this person is the superintendent's son-in-law. Sould we suspect nepotism?
Always nepotism is involved in local public jobs, teaching or otherwise. Little fiefdoms.

It in interesting that in searching the HPSD website I noticed the minutes from the meeting he was hired at have not been posted yet...maybe there is some "correcting" going on to cover their "behinds" of how he was given the position versus actually having a hiring process and hiring someone actually qualified for the position. Interesting how HPSD thinks they are exempt from sunshine laws....

1st hire by new AD is the new head coach for the new girls soccer program...and his past experience is in football at New Oxford? I seriously can't make this up. It was in Tuesdays Evening Sun sports section....seems the new AD doesn't know the difference between soccer and American football....those 2 years of experience as junior high football coach must be paying off for HPSD now:)

I have spoken w/ a couple of people who have met with the new AD (about sharing space, using facilities, etc.) and they have said that he acts like his job is a joke. They called him a 'joke'--very unprofessional- in appearance, manners, etc.. It's a shame he thinks that making 46, or so. grand a year to try to revitalize a once proud HS program is a joke. News flash Dr. Moyer--'your' mistake hasn't been brushed under the rug just yet.

On the agenda at last nights HPSD board meeting? Approval of the new AD's wife (superintendent's daughter) as a game worker in athletic department....now that if there ever was a direct report that would be one! First step before they hire her as a teacher once opening presents itself....
