You can tell what kind of people hang out there. They should close that place down and the town of Hanover would have more value! That and the poor people's hotel across the street, a run down factory they made into homes for people who don't want to work and pay their bills. Two land marks this town can do without!

I have never been to Franklin House, but if you are speaking about the Hanover Shoe as the poor people's hotel then somehow you have your facts mixed up. While there might be people in there who do not want to work, I know there are also very hard working people who live there.

What a way to generalize and stereotype!

They could close it down but the trash would go somewhere else, e.g., Carlisle St. and Baer Ave.

200 Block North Franklin Street, Ghetto, Drugs, Crime, Trash, Also many folks and families are hard working, elderly & disabled live in the Hanover shoe building and should not be scared to be in the parking lot at night. Hanover Shoe has helped many get on their feet.

This whole incident just proves what I've believed for a long time--ban knives.

All of them.

You know how many people each year are killed with butter knives alone? More than you might think.

Chopsticks work just fine and never need to be polished. If this criminal had been a chopstick user, this tragedy would have never happened. I'm certain that his knife egged him on the whole time saying"Do it! Do it! Do it!"

I repeat, ban all knives.

The Franklin House is and has always been a dump for drugsters, ganksters, and low lifes. Want an dirty (as in unwashed) whore, go to the Franklin House. Want drugs, go to the Franklin House. The owners of this pigstye are the ones that should be locked up, but we treat them as fellow citizens. You figure!!

Forks should also be banned. They are responsible for making Rosey O'Donnell fat.

Places like the Franklin House can be shut down, Carlisle St. and Baer Avenue were. If enough people call LCB and complain, the Franklin House will be history. As far as I know, your call is confidential. PENNSYLVANIA STATE POLICE - BUREAU OF LIQUOR CONTROL ENFORCEMENT TOLL-FREE HOT LINE

I agree the FRANKLIN HOUSE TAVERN SHOULD SERIOUSLY BE CLOSED DOWN!.. there is ALWAYS a fight or some disturbance going on there!!. its known for its CRACK SALES... I seriously cannot believe that it is still open.. the owner of this bar DOES NOT CARE WHAT GOES ON INSIDE as well as the Bartenders.. they are all being PAID off or getiing FREE drugs from the dealers... I SERIOUSLY hope that this bar is closed down for good.. where are the POLICE??.. I can give documented times and dates of at least a DOZEN police reports within a years time!!.. HANOVER POLICE ARE A JOKE...

In case you haven't noticed, the bar on Baer Avenue is a parking lot. Don't think they will be going to this place anytime soon.
