I want to add a couple of things when the
new routes conversion transpired.

The Company requires us to incorporate our business.(INC OR LLC).
The company is going to deal with direct deposit only for our pay.
No more 100 % promotions allowance like we currently have. we are going
to pay 17%, the company pays the difference.
No down payment required!

Also, we don't know what the multiple is going to be
for the new routes. to be determined.

we will be getting our buyback checks a month after the new routes
conversion.

Well fellows it looks like they have found another way to screw us out of some more money. I was told today that our new warehouse would be in Wilson Nc which is an hour drive for me there and a hour back. Two hours a day to get my product to sell and make snyders more money and put me further in the hole. I just don't understand why they operate this company like this. I was also talking to a branch manager for lance on tues. and I honestly feel that all the management knows alot more than they put on to know. I just don't understand why they haven't told us more from the get. I don't know if I can hold on until July when they are suppose to do our buyouts, I just got a check for 1250.00 today the first check that I have gotten since April 14. Thats a long time with no money to pay expenses, sellin over 5,000 a week and no profit for me. How do they expect people to support there families on this shit. I hope all of you that do stay I hope things do turn around for you, and i hope you are all successful.

This company is in shambles. I think its going to fall apart right before our eyes. There is something fishy going on with only paying us 17%. They are making a name for themselves out on the streets among route guys that snyders lance is a bad co. to work for. We all know which dsd companies treat their employees good and which dont.

For the sake of not being confrontational and remaining peaceful around here as some of the other posters requested we do, I will ask you to name (I'm not being sarcastic) just 2 dsd companies that treat their employees good as you state.

Say what you want about SOH being shit, that is your opinion, but what I fail to see is these other great companies out there that are treating their people so kindly. That is not the sentiment that I get out here in S. Florida when I speak to other people in the business.

Quick true simple story today- Saw my local Frito guy in the morning going about his business, while I went about mine on my route. I finished, came home and took a 2 hour nap. Left my house to pick up the little one from school and run errands and who do I cross on the intersection after 5pm? You guessed it, the Frito guy from the early AM. These guys are putting in insane hours and ARE NOT HAPPY! This is par for the course for a lot of companies out there.

Respectfully please name 2 well known companies doing right by their employees or IO's this day in age.

Well Snyder's didn't let me down when I thought they would try and screw us.

So not only are the lowering our commission they are starting to make us pay a part of the promotion allowance.

People if you don't get up and walk out when you have your meeting then you deserve what you get. I am in the progress of getting all the Atlanta IO's together before our meeting so when they start telling us how we are going to run OUR business, as one we will get up and walk out together. Lets see them fill 50 routes. If we must, there are other ways to make our point be known you just have to have the guts to do it.

Fla people that were at the meeting, what was the tone of the speech and who gave it? Did they pull a typical Matthew where he does all the talking and refuses to answer questions? Did you guys voice an opinion or just take it?

If we don't band together then they will walk over us, but if we are united across the nation then how can they do business if we all park our trucks? The damage of losing a week worth of sales will vibrate all the way up and down the chain of command. Heads will roll if we stopped Snyder's dead in their tracks. We need to hurt them in the only place that matters, in the pockets because its the only thing these greedy SOB's understand. We built this company and once again we get screwed.

I can understand your disappointment. I suspect any route that will be presented to you if given the opportunity will generate much more revenue than the 5k you are currently generating.

pep.farms, lil debbie, mission, to name a few i/o all of which receives a substantially larger commision. same hours.
any other company that pays for expenses, vacations, maintanence ,retirement working at 45hrs a week that make 40,000 plus a year. take your pick of em excluding frito, interstate. several local co. that are not in major supermarkets do exist.hell the way this is going might as well merchandise at frito for 15/hr make the same as its gonna be here. good luck. for me the wheels are in motion for a SOH-I/O bailout stimulous. the SOH-I/O recovery act of 2012.

Bimbo, Little Debbie, Pepperidge Farm (both bread and cookie) and Mission just to name a few. All IO's, all making a higher commissions and better atmosphere to work for.

Me and the Little Debbie guy in my area are pretty good buds, he is home everyday at 12-12:30, never works weekends and made 10K less than I did last year with half the stales, half the hours and he never sees his DM unless he needs him.

The Pepperidge farm cookie guy works about the same hrs as I do, half the stales and what he does pick up they give him credit for if its a push item, made 20k more than I did last year and has a company vacation guy covers his vacation days.

Bimbo guy used to work for Snyder's before he wised up, makes more, less hrs, full credit for everything.

Once again Yaz you prove you don't know what the hell ur talking about......company boy.

Did you let Snyder's grease you up before they screwed you willingly? Did you ask for more?

Sounds like there is no room for negotiation - kind of a take it or leave it. I'd be willing to say that they are in for a very bad time of it when this all goes down. Morale has been terrible and you cannot get any straight answers from anyone. When I mention this forum its like a big joke and I'm told not to believe anything that any of you say. Wow - this is pathetic!!

You are an idiot. You do realize that we work in different markets right? None of those companies work conditions you mention are as great as you say over here in S. Florida.

Bimbo, if that's Arnold bread, is the only company that is on the right track. The others you mention, are not universally better.

Good luck with your walkout though. I guarantee you won't do it and you will be running a Snyders route when this is said and done. I am sure you are in line to get a route with good revenue and you WILL NOT walk away from 75k plus just like that. Good posturing though.

They say that because they dont want us sharing info. I have heard that what is happening in Fla might not be the same as it will be in lets say up north or out west. We have all seen the difference in commission rates, what you pay in allowances or dint from many different people.

Guys you own these routes and its time for you to find some balls that demand they tell you what the hell is going on.

This business of giving us our equity checks months away we close is another thing that wont fly. At any closing you receive a check on the spot after you sign not months down the road when they feel like paying you.

Hey Atlanta thanks for the kind words. Dont get so worked up over Yaz. Punks like him are a dime a dozen. He is no different than the mud you scrape off your boots at the end of a hard day......its just doesnt matter. You knock it off and sweep it out the door like any other dirt you see on the floor.

I just found this post today and have been reading it all day. I still have mixed feelngs about everything. I have never been an I O before, and frankly am conserned about everything. I have always been able to build a route before and make more money then they ever thought the route could make, and I had that mentality. Now I am really concerned. A couple of u guys have been very helpful and encouraging, but it still is scarry to me I gess I will see. Just trying to support my family
