<quoted text>you do not want a bin route. if I could go pick daily and sell on a 1 day turn - I just might be able to float. but the challenge of weekly ordering, and the fact they short you (and never give credit might I add) and the short dates (which I was told I could get credit on - and never do) NOT WORTH IT. my route is in the $3000 weekly range right now - maybe a lil less even. some has to do with SL and some is just the area.
$3000 a week do you only work one day, or do you use a Honda civic and work five?$3000 a week isn't are route it is a average day!

nope that is my weekly average - the high point was $5200 and it has been as low as $2800 I work 3 days. fixing to be 2 soon enough. my cash flow has dropped 80% in the last 4-6mths (not all SL fault, actually none of that is really- just the area- the economy ect.)

If your not getting credits for shortages and short dates at least every other week you need to start cc ur emails to zone mngr and then regional mngr. I get a scan copy of my invoice credit on friday. Some of these DM's are completely useless.

nope he has told me I don't even need a credit form. before I was told for all damages and credits - they needed pictures and paperwork to the DM - I have seen that useless piece of crap 4x at most in 18mths. I have no idea how he has kept his job. most of his routes have turned over or been dissolved... and they split his district into two.

Halunen was the one who got us the $10 million. I doubt there in cahoots with them. Maybe there's a reason they don't want to revisit S-L.

they should have never sold a route that could possibly drop to that average. I run 11 to 13 every week. I couldn't imagine trying to juggle profitability with a $3000 route!

Honestly the DM's we have are useless. They ask for opportunities, you pass them along and nothing gets done. Now the bonus goal has been increased to 15 and 20 percent. If you are running your route properly day in and day out there is no way to reach those goals.

Bonus program is a joke! Big winner are the region managers on up. As long as Carl Lee is drawing 2 million a year I will never bust my hump to make him any richer. He is responsible for me losing all my benefits it took me 30 plus years to get. He wasn't at Snyders when guys like me built the company and I'm sure he shed no tears for me while he cashes his 40,000 a week average paycheck. I will work for me and my families needs and that only. When he starts investing in me then I will give back. HE can start with giving us the 20% he promised. Until then he can suck eggs!

Well said , couldn't agree with you more! We will never get the 20 %. As far as the "bonuses ". It's nothing but a win, win for Snyders. I just wish more IBO's would see it that way.

the route was quoted to me at $4700 - they added some territory to me last decemeber, and was suppose to add to my route - all it has done is add fuel cost. I want out so bad, but no job has called me for an interview, let alone an offer

I say that all the time u can get 500 new items but if u don't gain space into the stores then new items don't help but all they do is discontinue a few times and we get a few new times into the stores.

What are the 61 new items? Snyder, Lance products or new lines of product, like drinks? Are the 61 new items ones that are out there already in other areas of the country and are only "new" to your territory?

Soooooo ... after reading many of the comments on this thread, I'm assuming most of you wouldn't buy a route from S-L again? I mean, knowing what you all know now? I'm looking into buying a route in Ca and have become increasingly skeptical about the whole thing.
Come on, peeps. What would you do if you were in my shoes?

It's a good gig if you can sell and are not lazy like half the people here. I hope you didn't come from a union or something like that.
