they use last years average! If your a IO wouldnt you be selling as much in your stores all the time!!! I thought thats how we make money!!

Maybe thats why some of you dont make checks you leave the product in the truck or to scared to put product on your truck cause your scared of settlement!! Bad business plan!!

Thats just me!!!

I am a sales rep for lance for the last 5ys out of ky,and i am placing snyders and lance products im the market for 1 month now. The snyders products in smaller c-store format are blowing my lance products out of the water, to all io's this is going to be a welcomed change to your c-store markets and will make you a lot money, the only down fall is that on my truck there is no room to work or sort toms, capecod, archway, lance crackers, crunchers, okydok pop,sny prest, small, midsize, large,ex large of all of them.

I hope they do figure buy back by last years sales.Do you really know thats how they gonna do it or is it just another opinionated comment? Have you been bought back already or before? or maybe this is what management have told you.let me know cause I stand to make a profit if they do.Anyway I look at settlements periodically not weekly and course sell all that I can like all on this site. do.Do I get paid to drive around in my truck all day? I also know its a bad bus. plan to have absolutely no ownership in your bus. just the expenses that go w/it. Speculation has no bearings. Let me know if they use last yrs. avg. for sure cause I be prayin they do.I hope it doesnt work out like the ice cream bus. you had. We all have quite a bit at stake and would love some factual answers and a change in some co. policies that can benefit both relationships.

We were given our 60 day termination of distribution agreement 3 wks or so ago. It says "SOH will purchase the interest in your existing route for the fair market value as defined in your distributor agreement, less any amounts due SOH on your account, and less the outstanding amounts due on any loans secured by the route. Details on the calculation and pricing of fair mkt value will be presented to you in the near future". They are also willing to waive the transfer fee for doing this. I had heard they will buy back routes per the old contract terms of a "previous 26 week avg sales" with a 10/1 ratio or whatever ratio SOH is using for that area at the time.

Here Lance reps are selling snyders product to c-stores also. Just the conveniance store size's though.

I also have a copy of the New Distributor Agreement which is almost the same as the old except they will figure the routes cost on a 52 week avg as opposed to the 26 week avg they used before in old contract. Ratio????? who knows.

I hope this helps those who are wondering.

Snyder HO,

Has anyone mentioned what the precentage will be on the new routes?
Will it still be the 18%?

Also have they mentioned putting people under contract for a year prior to selling the routes back to the IO's?

We were told that we would be getting 17% on items that retailed for more than $1.50. Which is a 1% cut for us. And then everything under $1.50 retail we would get 20%. Which is an increase of 2%. But we sell very few items currently at that price. You have to keep in mind also that there's a shared allowance, which reduce's that percentage a little.

Have hot been told that about a 1 yr contract.

**I just have to say that I really dont like the fact that we will lose 1% on what we mainly sell now, but they say we will make it up possibly by selling more of the lower retail items. Which to me means a whole bunch of C-stores...which I dont currently service now. Oh Boy!!!cant wait!!! <<< sarcasm. lol I hope there is not alot of stale involved with the c-stores......could hurt profitability. Anybody have comments here???**

hope this helps.

And Yaz and Hank I know I got a bit negative towards the end** but this is what I think. Sorry. lol

ho ho ho home on the range..........

Thus whole merger is stupid. The biggest mistake lance has done was merge with snyders. We were doing so good by ourselves. The company made more money than snyders so I don't understand y everything is going snyders way. Someone upstairs really messesed up and really forgot about the loyal lance employees. I wish it could all go away. Thanks for ruining our lives Snyders.

Lance was not making money. They lost 27 million last year even though they sold over 200 million more in product than Snyder's. Snyder's owes no one because they loan the bank. The family is from a long line of bankers. Snyder's financially is stable. Lance on the other hand was swimming in red and what is the best way to get back into the black? Cut overhead. What is a company's biggest overhead? Employees.

What Lance did was ensure the Brand grows stronger by using a tried and true delivery system. Independent Owners out perform company people because we have more at stake and to earn. We also cut millions of expenses for the company.
What Lance did was probably one of the smartest options they had available.

Now if we could get Snyder's head out of its ass to help us IO's make the share holders millions. The best way to achive that is for them to stay the hell out of my way and support me when I ask for it. I will take care of the rest.

And if someone from Snyders is reading this, CHANGE OUR TERMS BACK!!!!!!!!!! You want growth or empty trucks?

I haven't agreed with things you said in earlier posts, but this post is THE BEST post of this whole forum. There is plenty of potential here and the SOH business model is the envy of all, even though it doesn't always benefit the IO, but as a company it is perfect for them. Lance on the other hand, I'm glad you told it like it is and plenty more on the way just like Lance with the way things are. This is the main reason why WE are in the perfect spot, as route owners we are guaranteed to make a living and have jobs.

If Snyders could be a little more "Indepenant Distributor friendly" like Pepperidge Farm, it would be better.

there is no way they could buy back routes at 10 to 1 here in jersey!! I could have sold a year or so ago at 30 to 1!! UGH!!!

Lance product here are delivered by the wise chip guys!! Wise is a seperate thing here!! SO they are losing it to us when this happens!!
