I don't think 17% is a good deal!! Does anybody else think that is weak? Thats not competitive. If you sold $8000.00 $1360.00 gross
- taxes
- route payment
- truck payment
- gas
- liability ins.
- disability ins
- health ins
- repairs/main.

I dont know about you guys but when I bought a rt. it was not so much a territory but autorized outlets kroger wal mart etc. within a territory. I bet when they offer a buyback it will be from sales on these accounts and not a total of all sales. I bet they dont include partner brands like I had to pay for either. guess we wait and see.

20% is the industry standard and we dont even get that. Let them try and lower it and they will have all these routes with no one on them.

17% sucks. thats the discount. this is not a commision based business. 17% ends up being more like 14.5% after stales and dont forget u pay 17% of promos.

These are the posts that puzzle me. Are you presently an IO? Do you realize that every single one of the things that you mention on your post are write offs and the reason WE as IO's don't pay much in taxes? Do you realize that the note on your route is money that even in a worst case scenario you will be getting back and it's called equity? Even if we get bought out at a lesser ratio than we would like, you will at minimum get back what you put in total weekly note payments. Not many people would be able to SAVE that amount of money on their own, very similar to home equity, and I'm sure you are probably getting screwed worse on that than a route these days.
We all want to make as much as we can every week, but my mentality is the long haul and maybe one day the route will be paid off, the truck will be paid off and you will enjoy the benefits of years of note payments and earning as close to the aforementioned $1360.
With all due respect your post makes no sense, as an employee with a company you would still have to contribute into your health plan, put gas in your car to go to work, and so forth. The expenses are there, it's just that it's portrayed and seems different but at the end of the day it's the same.
It is the employee mentality that most on here are dominated by.

You talk about other people reading comprehension yet have the same problem most idiots have, you read only what your limited ability allows you to understand. Which isn't much.

So here you are talking about what a big bad Yankee you are. Typical blowhard bully.

Like I said Hank stay up there because I will promise you this, you will last about 2 seconds down here with that little boy syndrome you have. The managers here expect a mature adults to service their stores not a little punk that tries to start crap with everyone they come across. And if you do move down here with that attitude, I can see you sitting on the back of your truck holding a bloody rag to your nose where you stuck it where it didn't belong and got tagged for it by another vendor.

We see your type down here all the time and either they learn their place down here or they end up moving back up north with their tail between their legs.

I agree with this statement. We went from 18% 2yrs ago to having to start paying part of promo cost. This lowers the commission of course. And now they are cutting the percentage to 17% with shared promo's. A 18/82 Split on promo's. They should be going the opposite way. Like what was said before "20% is the industry standard" for Independant Distributors. Also they said the routes would be around 7100.00 a week. WE SHOULD AT MINIMUM BE GETTING A ROUTE WITH SALES OF 8 GRAND A WEEK. They should be making these routes WORTH something by at least doing the standard things.....not less. Its hard enough to keep things going on even 20%. And I do realize there are tax deductions involved but cmon......WE DESERVE BETTER from a supposed top notch company. Especially if you see the huge salaries of Management not to mention the million dollar bonuses all the Lance big guys just recieved.....just for merging the company. Way out of line.
This is a great forum to see whats going on throughout the country so please dont get personal with comments. It does nobody any good to see that. We need to work together.
Good Luck People.
