I couldn't agree more. Rehabilitation is what they need, not wasting their lives in jail because of an addiction.
How do you know these people are addicted? Maybe they just like to party and socialize with other people with the same interests.

Don't let the addiction excuse fool you. With heroin, there is a mandatory sentence in PA.

thank you drug task force and Littlestown PD!! now if we could clean up the teens that were buying the stuff also then we would be making progress! Arrest the dealers and users to clean up and send a clear message that this is not the place for it! Also what is the smoking age and legal age to purchase tobacco products in Pa and Md? why do many students walking to LHS from Crouse park smoke? Most of the minor crimes will give evidence to larger violations. Good Luck Littlestown!

Great job Boyz. I am so proud of Bill, JR and Pat. Reminds me of my younger days when I was out there pounding the streets. Now I just pound.

Stop wasting my tax dollars on this crap! Alcohol is far worst than marijuana. Itís just a matter of time before it is legalized. Itís the same as going to the doctor and getting a prescription for stress/anxiety etc.

Big John,
Evidently you do not have any children. I am a parent of a 20 year old that has a Heroin addiction. Heroin is a drug that alters your brain chemistry for life and is a drug that the person will fight the craving everyday for the rest of their lives. I totally agree they need to get the dealers off the streets, but 15-30 year jail sentence is also not the answer. A long term rehab. treatment in a secured facility that they can't leave is the answer for the first time users/dealers. Sending an addict to jail is not going to fix the problem, fix the issue at hand ADICTION will altimately fix the drug dealer issue.

They need to slam the door closed on these folks ...... Do the crime, pay the time !

I would seize property, if they live at home still, take the parents property to make them pay for their jail time ... End of story !

I've known Wayne for years. He's been a drug dealer for almost a decade. He's been under the radar for too long. I hope he comes home wearing a diaper.

Did any one bother to look at the ages of some of these individuals? Eighteen, nineteen, twenty...I know they are adults, but come on.
As someone who has seen the prices paid by a drug addict first hand, it seems to me that 15 years per count is like throwing away the rest of their lives, when I would venture to guess that addiction to the substance was the driving force behind their involvement to begin with. Isn't heroin the cheap drug? If so then they sure weren't in it for the money!
Get them help and try to rehabilitate them if this is their first offense and then if they end up right back here - then throw the book at them.
I am not underplaying the seriousness of the drug problem in the area, but we cannot just keep filling up the jails with people who may very well have a fighting chance to turn their lives around.
yeah go to baltimore buy it and double your money by selling in the community to people who are addicted. Its only cheap when your selling to one or two people. Buy in bulk and sell to loads of peole;thats where you make the money. Kids that needed to grow up. They seen operation smackdown and new of the deaths in the community and still went on selling. No conscience and no regard for life.

Thanks! I guess I'm a little behind in the new charges these days.

I was always used to hearing conspiracy, possession, and possession with intent to deliver, and violation of the Rico act.

If you read the charges on the people, you'll see some were only into marijuana.
