Our policy of failing to respond to calls, treating victims like criminals and reporting crimes as lesser offenses is bearing fruit. Fewer serious crimes ares showing up in our statistics and our statistics show that crime is down in York City. Residents don't even bother to report crimes because they don't want to deal with the abuse from the responding officer and they know that we won't investigate. In the next year we will work on our response time, research tells us that a delay of 6 hours or more in responding to calls leads to a decrease in reports filed.

Highly unlikely, crack has a strong foothold in that city.

The real good news here: someone actually has statistics that show the crime rate in the city IS substantially higher than that in the suburbs. So city officials can't just blame it on the media saying bad things and pretend it's not an issue.

Sure. People are flooding back into York now that the crime level has dropped from outrageous to atrocious.

The YDR will never report honestly on how devastated the city has become because the policies of the political party in power coincides with YDR philosophies.

The YDR is disgusting.

The cops arrest fewer criminals so that either means the crime rate has dropped or police efficiency has. I wonder which?

People in york bitch a lot. Been to York hundreds of times. The majority of the city doesn't see very much violent crime. It happens in one area. People aren't moving out of your city due to crime because lancaster and reading has the same rate of crime but continue to grow.. It's the mass hysteria of them york townies talking about york like as if it's compton.. Lancaster's crime got so out of control, they installed cameras on every corner but the city continues to grow.
