hahahahaha

This state is doing all it can to ban smoking but

legalizing pot seems to be fine and dandy with you

liberal hypocrites. I'll drive to Harrisburg

smoking a cig and you clowns drive there sucking

on a joint. Let's see who gets there safely first.

As for pot never killing anyone talk to some

Vietnam Vets who lost brothers over there because

some were too high to load their M-16's. If you get

it legalized fine, just don't glorify this garbage.

I have a question unanswered. What did Mr. Homan do to have the police come to his house to confiscate his plants? Or more to the point, was he selling? If so this would put a big hole in his "I need it for sleep" defense.

I agree with you on this. If you saw this group yesterday, you would agree that they surely didn't glorify anything, their cause or themselves!

Before you bash people for using pot, try it yourself. You'll see that is doesn't make you the bumbling idiot you think it does. Unless of corse you are already a bumbling idiot.
And studies have been done to show driving under the influence of pot is less dangerous than driving on alcohol or driving when using a cell phone. Look it up.

Yes Mr. Homan, what tipped off the police? I had the "parade of fools" go right by my house and I laughed the whole time. I especially loved the guy who was in a wheel chair and then suddenly got up and walked. What about the guy who had the hat, sunglasses on with a bandanna covering his face. What was he afraid of? Like it was stated before, pot has never killed anyone! Well neither have cell phones!

The Turkey Plant in New Oxford smells better than this story.
What a crock of @#$@%!!!!
Gee, lets look back in time at "Ben" who was arrested two times in Hanover for selling Marihuana. I do believe some of that Marihuana was being sold at Bee Gee Billaids and the problems there. The first time, there was over a pnd. in the trunk. Maybe, Mr. Homan forgot to take his medical Marihuana out of "Bens" trunk.
Gee, the second time around, I guess all the dump trucks seized were also used to haul the "Medical Marihuana". Maybe, the writer needs to get the smoke out of his eyes and reseach the good "Homan" name in the Evening Suns archives.
There were two "Marihuana Moms" arrested, it would be a real "SHOCKER" if a "Marihuana Dad" got arrested.
THIS PIECE OF @#$@!%^ caused so much grief and harm in his own family, "the apple does not fall far from the tree.

No...cell phones don't kill anyone, it's the idiots using them while driving. Seems a lot of them can't do two things at once.

All I can say is, even if they legalize marijuana in Pennsylvania, you are still in violation of Federal Law... So grow and smoke your pot, hopefully the feds come in and charge those involved..... you can bet after being convicted, you won't be getting just probation....:)

If you wanna smoke pot for medical reasons, move to Amsterdam and sleep all you want....

Hey remember when the world was flat!! Blacks had smaller brain then whites!! People who are against weed are the same people who believe everything that the goverment told them. If people would just start to read history then they would find out the U.S. Goverment lies. Didn't we have to go to Vietnam so the commies won't spread. As for being to high to load theirs M-16. Another lie. We needed to go to Iraq to get the WWMD where are the WWMD. Another lie. How comes marijuans was used for thousand of years for medical reasons. To the person who goes by the TRUTH. Did you ever read anything about medical marijuana? As for being agains Federal Law please go to the congress web site and look up Bill H.B. 2835. It is getting new consponser very day. The truth will come back someday when people start to think for themself. Hey TRUTH why did it the the goverment almost 154 years to ban a herb? Bad for You or bad for BIG BUSINESS?? Look it up TRUTH

Lets continue onward and legalize this natural safer medicine to help people who are suffering. Its time to start looking at science and taking a compasstionate stance. We cannot allow the ignorance of race based prohbition and oppression of those suffering who can benefit from this any longer.

I personally know chuck homan and the "man in the wheel chair". chuck is a good man and doesnt sell pot. he has suffered a long time and has found relief, unfortunately he has to fight the horrible act of prohibition of a plant that has always been on the earth to recieve protection and peace of mind. The man in a wheel chair was prescribed a wheel chair and now he can walk thanks to this plant. he still gets tired and needs to sit back in but hes better now so he can get up if theres a bump or he gets stiff. seriously where is your compassion? If you yourself have suffered im happy that you may have found releif in other avenues but for many or us who cant we should be allowedd to use this herb for medicine.

For the treatment of Glaucoma, cannabis use has no toxic side effects to the liver and kidneys, nor is there any danger of the occasional sudden death syndrome associated with the legal pharmaceutical glaucoma drugs/drops.
According to studies performed at the Medical College of Virginia, both benign and malignant tumors are shown to have reduced significantly in size in patients who used medical marijuana. Unfortunately after these findings, the DEA cut funding to these studies. Since then (1996) the college has reapplied to receive funding for the study of medical marijuana but have been turned down by the DEA. My guess is that they are trying to protect the big healthcare business industry (Pharmaceutical Companies).
Another benefit that cannabis has, is that it helps control nausea. Especially in cancer patients. Speaking from experience, my mother who passed away with cancer, was perscribed all types of phamaceuticals. All of which, failed to help her. Since she was always getting sick, she was never able to keep the medication down. I truely beleive that if she were allowed to have medical marijuana,(in vapor form, not smoke), she could have had a better quailty of life. The vapor would have easily have been metabolized. Not to metion, she would have had the appetite to eat.
I could go on and on about the benefits of medical marijuana. But I would like to encourage all to educate themselves about this highly beneficial plant. Because it not only has medicinal purposes, but can also help boost our economy in serveral different industries. It can produce fuel, fabrics, paper, food...the list goes on. It can also create a very profitable agriculture. To learn more of the benefits, look up Jack Herer. He is one of our centries greatest advocates for speaking out the truth about this miracle plant.

Marijuana was made illegal by a documented lie on the floor of the Senate in 1937. Since then the US Government has pushed ideas like "it makes you crazy", "it instills a bloodlust that turns normal people into murderers", and "it has a higher carcinogen content than cigarettes and could cause over 15,000 new cases of cancer per year"
The truth is, not one single case of cancer has ever been associated with marijuana use. Despite 30 years of research, the Fed's very own top researcher was unable to find even a single hartmful effect of marijuana and even stated that it seems to serve more as a protectant than a harm. An "overdose" is impossible at any dosage. It inhibits the growth of cancer cells and restores appetite to cancer and aides patients, greatly increasing their survival chances. It blocks the onset of Alzheimer's Disease and has been sucessfully used to treat other forms of dementia as well.
It's medical uses have been so well documented that pharmiceutical companies have even made synthetic marijuana (Marinol) to treat patients where real marijuana is illegal to use.
Marijuana was the primary crop grown by George Washington and the secondary crop grown by Thomas Jefferson.
The US is the only developed country in the world that doesn't grow marijuana commercially.

as far as the driving arguement goes. useage of this plant as medicine would be considered the same as pills in the fact that you need to use caution while driving. there is ample evdince that proves that people who use cannabis are less likely to get in accidents than people using pills or alcohal or cell phones etc. this will be a personal responsibility issue that will be reinforced by legislation within the bill.
