Full story: Evening Sun

Debby and Richard Skobel thought they'd wrap up the holiday weekend by watching "Bridesmaids" at Gateway Theater in Gettysburg.

This non-reportable "event" takes top billing over Memorial Day reporting? THIS is news? The Palin's were surrounded by a few tourists who were really there to see Gettysburg, not her, some autograph seekers, and possibly a predominance of news staffs rather than actual Palin admirers. The reporting indicates that a minority, including Adams County Republican Committee members, made up the alleged "hundreds" of people said to be were there but did not appear to be there from televised coverage. The news media should be reporting above the fold and in TV on more important events.

I'm sorry I meant Vanderbroek, not Fred!! Either way, still need to come up with some better answers to make a logical arguement.
Thanks, I think.

Palin and Bachman are going to splinter the Republican Party. After next summer, if these two do not get their way, they will either run or splinter the party by themselves or endorsing a candidate just as Perot and Anderson did in the past. If this happens it is an Obama shoe-in.
They do look better than the ones who have thrown in their hats so far.

Once again, the Evening Sun showed their liberal bias by reporting the two people they found that
"didn't" agree with Sarah Palin. She is 1,000 times better then that piece of "****" we have in the White House today!!!!!!!

She is not running for president. She is in it for attention and money and political capital at the RNC.

Just crazy to me that anyone in their right mind could get sucked into her world and even want to see her. There is a very bizarre unthinking kind of BonJoviism occurring here.

Of course, if Republicans want to embarass themselves and embarrass our country by supporting her non-views her non-policies or views that be boiled down to 3 word sentences, have at it.

Did you notice the link that **** posted? A UK blog.
He needs to get his news and opinions from the UK. Idiot.
I noticed it too. I believe opinions on what one should do are different in the UK. Their day of Remembrance was Sunday. They didn't mention what the President did on Sunday.

"On Sunday, the President will travel to Joplin, Missouri. The Presidentís departure from the South Lawn and the arrival at Joplin Regional Airport are open press.

While in Joplin, the President will visit with those in the community who lost so much during last weekís deadly, historic tornadoes. The Presidentís visit with the community will be travel pool coverage. The President will see firsthand the devastation caused by the storms and deliver brief remarks at a memorial service held by local clergy and Missouri Governor Jay Nixon for those who lost their lives. The Presidentís remarks at Missouri Southern University are open press.

Later in the afternoon, the President will return to Washington, DC. The Presidentís departure from Joplin Regional Airport and the arrival on the South Lawn are open press.

On Monday, the President and First Lady will host a breakfast for Gold Star Families in the State Dining Room. This event will be closed press.

Afterwards, the President will make Department of Defense personnel announcements in the Rose Garden. The Presidentís personnel announcements are open press.

Later in the morning, the President and First Lady will visit Arlington National Cemetery where the President will participate in a wreath laying ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknowns. This event is open to pre-credentialed media.

Following the wreath laying ceremony, the President will participate in the Memorial Day Service at the Memorial Amphitheater at Arlington National Cemetery. U.S. Army Military District of Washington Command Chaplain (Colonel) Steve Berry, will deliver the invocation, followed by remarks from Admiral Mike Mullen, Secretary Robert Gates and President Obama. The First Lady will also attend. This event is open to pre-credentialed media."

Gee, I guess Sarah doesn't care about Joplin, MO. She's on a big bus with her name on it, trying to go incognito. Yeah, right.

Just a quitter with a "look at me" complex. Caribou Barbie told the good people of her state to believe in and support her and she would work for them and they voted her into office. Then she quit them halfway through and she wants to be president? Yeah, she's stable and trustworthy---NOT!!! With her resume, she wouldn't even get a second glance as manager at my local Target.

If Palin didn't want anybody to know where she was going, why is she riding in a ridiculously gaudy bus? This woman is the biggest attention wh*re I've seen in a very long time. I wish these media outlets would stop covering her every move.

This comment coming from a person who can't even spell the name of the town in which they live. Palin may be 1,000 times better than dirt but that's about as high as she goes.

Not one of the preceding posts commented on how Palin believes the country should be run. The posts were simply name calling and tired old liberal rants.

One can conclude that they have no idea what she believes in or are incapable of successfully debating the governmental policies that she might implement should she chose to run and win.

Me thinketh that the Palin haters only talent is spouting insults in order to cover up their own inadequacies.

Good point...even the article title makes no sense. "Palin goes icognito in Gettysburg" - in an attention grabbing paint schemed tour bus, on an east coast tour, announced to the nation. In what way is that icognito? It's like "Where's Waldo?" with media coverage and Waldo looking for all the attention he could get.
