Agree that this person received no more than a slamp on the wrist. He was driving an unregistered vehicle with no insurance. He also fled the scene

I think family members should take turns running him down

(Moose) I agree, that is punishment at all. Please be advised, that if he didnt have a detainer on him for the immigation issue, he would be left out on his minimum, which is 6 months, and be home for the holidays, while this elderly lady may never come home or for that matter, have all her senses or vitals back. Wow, where is the justice in this case. I do feel for this lady and her family and friends. There is no words to describe this type of sentence, especiallyafter he fled to another state close to the border. I also do hope for some kind of medical miracle for this lady. My prayers!

York County DA Stan Rebert needs voted out of office. What a waste of $100,000 plus. The DA's office doesn't know what they are doing. They are suppose to let you know what's going on with a case.

I know someone who ran over and killed a kid and feels horrible but was not charged with anything because it was an accident. This lady was crossing the road illegally. Had this guy stopped he would have only been charged with the the no insurance and being illegal (which is why he ran) The punishment does fit the crime. He will be sent back home when he is done serving his time. I feel bad for the woman and her family, but had she been following the laws herself she would be fine.

I wonder what the legal punishment is in the county for "j-walking"? Also, I beleive fleading the scene of an accident regardless of fault (take a fender bender for example) is NOT legal, add that to the list. This is an absolute disgusting and evil basis of comparision.
