Prostitution is legal in parts of nevada. They have to meet many regulations to run their Brothels. Men there wanting to get some ***** pay the woman X amount of dollars and everybody is happy.

They should post the men faces on the news in plain view, so others could be warn of their pending Aids Virus pick up from their prostitute girlfriends.

What kind of a person goes to the library to post on Topix for God's sake? Little kids, or L*O*S*E*R*S. LOL!
Granny, I think that there's quite a few of Solano County's homeless population that post on the library's work stations daily. These computers are also good if you don't want big brother tracing your posts as I believe that any post from the Solano County Library system is timestamped from Fairfield because the servers reside at the library's headquarters.

Ohkayyyyy then. I still don't think the policy of a one-hour use time, would make anyone rush to post on Topix.

Same thing, any time someone gets busted for a crime:
"Why are they wasting time and money on this, why don't they go after the real criminals?"
Then someone gets killed, the suspect gets arrested, and it's:
"This couldn't have been his first crime, why didn't they bust him before?"
Crime is black and white. If someone does something wrong, nail them. Doesn't matter what it was. Can't overlook one problem without it becoming another one. Prostitution's an easy one, but you can usually find drugs, pimps, gangs, weapons, and assaults connected. Why not go after the prostitutes?
I don't think anyone disagrees with you. You missed the point or late to the debate. The police in this country have spent billions of dollars arresting, imprisoning and trying humiliate people in the oldest profession known to man. If they haven't found a way to stop, then they should try and find a way to make it safer for everyone.

No one wants to see the girls on the street corners with their pimps. But police crack downs have proven futile over and over and over again. Busting them is an obvious waste of time and tax payer dollars for a city that is BK.

Time to think outside the box. Be grown up. Accept things you cannot change, in this case prostitution, and figure out a way to make every citizen safer.

I think Mike has a great idea. Every county should have a safe zone and regulate it. Don't tell me regulation does not work as Nevada has proven that it does!

To use a library computer, don't you have to sign in with your library card? If so, so much for anonymity.

I used to live in Germany where prostitution is legal. Every prostitute carries a government ID card at all times and has to go to the doctor every 30 days for testing. If they don't show up for the appointment, a warrent is issued for their arrest. Everything is very controlled and TAXED!

Funny. I was in junior high when I lived there, and as a veteran I'm not sure if I should take offense to your comment or not. I was just making the point that there are ways to control and tax it and other countries have been doing it for decades (at least). In this economy we could use all the money we can bring in.

This is pathetic. I've been reading about the Vallejo PD getting ready to shut down and the city contract with the Solano Sherrif's Office to provide law enforcement. Vallejo's been going through a crime spree - and these clowns have the money and resources to bust hookers!? Please. How about going after the killers and robbers? These dufuses putting hookers behind bars is not going to
help me sleep better at night.
but the hookers might right? One would think maybe someone wants the prostitutes around?

For all of you. Vallejo police officers do arrest Other and more serious criminals you just don't know about it. What you don't relize is that the city officials cut police and some officers went elsewhere. Most of the time there are only about four officers on patrol at a time. The police go to as many calls as possible with their shortened staff. What you people don't relize is that they don't have as many officers because people like you voted in corrupt city officials.
