Tim is trying very hard to get an answer to all the failures of the radios that the York County taxpayers are paying for to the tune of 36 million dollars. How long is the taxpayers of York County going to put up with something that is not working properly and they are paying for. Should we as taxpayers have the attitude
'we aren't using them so its not our worry"? What will we as taxpayers say when a firefighter or police officer is killed because of "glitches in the system" that have been going on since 2009. If the County gets sued because of a serious injury or death will that also come back as a taxpayer expense? You bet in some way or the other. Will Reporter Tim ever find out all the answers to the failures? Probably not. Is the failures all the equipments fault? I guess that is to be seen but lets look at the failure of the paging system when it happens and the length of time it takes dispatchers and management to notify the local fire companies the paging is not working, is almost an hour to make notification reasonable. It has been said the old radio system didn't work, did we hear as much about that? I really am starting to wonder if the York County 911 system is under the proper management.
