I often question how many of these violations occur in everyday homes, and how often and no one gets sick? Because you run a business does not mean you are perfect, nor should your negligence be excused for illness directly related to it, but honestly, hardly anyone can comply all the time, every time! If you have an extremely busy place you thank the lord, not think of the state health inspector.

The rules exist because at some point in time, someone got sick because the situations the rules address were not followed.

I do not think the inspectors are looking for perfection but they are looking for gross negligence that could cause sickness. If they see an issue, they point it out. There are plenty of educational materials and classes available for food handlers to learn so ignorance of the rules is no excuse.

Have you read the list of rules? Just ridiculous! Maybe a rule should be...wash your hands and get sprayed before entering a food establishment.

Would definitely help.

As a matter of fact, I have read the rules and each one of them is based on common sense. Maybe you like the idea of stuff dripping into your meal but I do not.
If this is the way you feel, please feel free to visit these particular establishments on a regular basis. Just do not cry to your lawyer when you get sick!

The more rules and regulations we have the more corruption.
