A rising number of Americans think the war in Iraq was not worth fighting. A NBC News/Wall Street Journal/Annenberg poll released Tuesday shows that 71 percent of those surveyed think the war in Iraq "wasn't worth it," while only 22 percent believe that the war was worth the effort.

Results show a large dip in approval of the Iraq war in comparison to the previous time the pollsters asked if the war had been worthwhile. In 2013, 59 percent said the Iraq war wasn't worth it, while 35 percent said the opposite.

The only people that benefit by these needless wars are the military industrial complex that Eisenhower warned us about 55 years ago. These a$$holes need a constant state of conflict in the world to insure a constant stream of revenue for their weapons.

Iraq was anoth mistake of a war that the conservatives (NOTE- CONSERVATIVES - not republicans) got us into.

We got nothing but debt and body bags from KOREA, VIET NAM, IRAQ I and IRAQ II. Afghanistan needed to be attacked in the beginning because they sheltered bin Laden but we should have been out of there in short order too.

U.S. Economy Shrank in First Quarter by Most in Five Years
The U.S. economy contracted in the first quarter by the most since the depths of the last recession as consumer spending cooled.
Gross domestic product fell at a 2.9 percent annualized rate, more than forecast and the worst reading since the same three months in 2009, after a previously reported 1 percent drop, the Commerce Department said today in Washington.
It marked the biggest downward revision from the agency’s second GDP estimate since records began in 1976. The revision reflected a slowdown in health care spending.

Most Americans, Including Democrats, Believe IRS ‘Deliberately Destroyed’ Emails
June 25, 2014

Seventy-six percent believe that the “lost” Lois Lerner emails were deliberately destroyed, according to a Fox News poll. Only 12 percent believe the destruction resulted as an accident.

This skepticism crossed party lines. A whopping 90 percent of Republicans doubt the IRS’s most recent claims, as do 74 percent of independents and 63 percent of Democrats.

There remains desire for congressional action. Seventy-four percent feel that lawmakers should continue investigating the IRS’s targeting of conservative groups “until someone is held accountable.”

Americans are also dubious about President Barack Obama’s claims that he first learned about the scandal through the media, with just 31 percent believing this to be true.

Why isn't Faux Noise reporting about Rand Paul saying going into Iraq 10 years ago was a mistake. Rand doesn't blame Obama for the mess now happening in Iraq he blames the Bush Administration.
Paul said those who have questioned the president's approach to the recent surge in violence should ask the same questions of those who supported the 2003 invasion of Iraq: "Were they right in their predictions? Were there weapons of mass destruction there? Was the war won in 2005, when many of those people said it was won?"

Common Core Conundrum: So Toxic, Even Arne Duncan Refuses To Say It

The best way to promote a highly sensitive and controversial curriculum is by not actually mentioning it at all.

And that’s exactly what U.S. Secretary of Education Arne Duncan did. At the 2014 annual National PTA convention in Austin, Texas, on June 20, he gave an entire speech about Common Core without ever actually saying “Common Core.”

Instead, Duncan referred to Common Core as “standards,” a word he used nine times. He talked about how people “came together to develop these college- and career-ready standards” and how ”43 states will be moving forward this fall with new, higher, better academic standards that they chose.”

Report: Many Obamacare Customers Will Have To Switch Plans Or Face Skyrocketing Costs

Most Obamacare customers will face serious premium hikes next year unless they change their health insurance again, according to a Thursday study from Avalere Health.

Most Obamacare customers are receiving some level of taxpayer subsidies to take the edge off high premium rates, but the plans that determine the amount of subsidies available will be changing significantly, according to Avalere.

Tipsy Hillary dubs Obama ‘incompetent and feckless,’ a national ‘joke,’ book claims
June 27, 2014

In the world of gossipy politics, Edward Klein’s new “Blood Feud” book is the gift that keeps on giving, the latest released excerpt pointing to former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s supposed boozy rantings about President Obama as a “feckless,” inept leader.

Mr. Klein writes that Mrs. Clinton referred to Mr. Obama as “incompetent and feckless,” and said he had “no hand on the tiller half the time,” during a May 2013 dinner-and-drinks affair at a French cafe, Le Jardin Du Roi, located in the Westchester area of New York, the New York Postreported.

Mrs. Clinton, who had resigned as secretary of state months earlier, was asked by friends at the event to speak candidly about Mr. Obama, according to the book.

“When her friends asked Hillary to tell them what she thought — really thought — about the president she had served for four draining years, she lit into Obama with a passion that surprised them all,” Mr. Klein wrote, citing unnamed sources.

“The thing with Obama is that he can’t be bothered, and there is no hand on the tiller half the time,” Mrs. Clinton reportedly said.“That’s the story of the Obama presidency. No hand on the [expletive] tiller. Obama has turned into a joke.”

Mrs. Clinton reportedly ranted about the IRS targeting of the tea party and the Justice Department’s tapping of phone records from the Associated Press, the New York Post reported, citing Mr. Klein’s book.

“All these scandals,” she said, according to Mr. Klein’s sources.“Obama’s allowed his hatred for his enemies to screw him the way Nixon did.…[He’s] incompetent and feckless.”

Gallup Shows Obama Is Wrong About Immigration

Only one-in-five Americans want to see additional immigration, while two-in-five Americans want less immigration, says a new Gallup poll.

The June 27 Gallup poll helps to explain why the GOP’s rejected the media-boosted, lobbying push for the Senate’s June 2013 immigration-boosting bill.

Progressives and business groups have spent at least $1.5 billion since 2008 pushing for increased immigration, and routinely insist that the public supports their version of “comprehensive immigration reform.” That version was approved last June by the Senate, and it would double the inflow of guest-workers and legal immigrants up to roughly 4 million per year.

“The majority of the American people want to see immigration reform done,” Obama insisted during in June 27 interview with ABC’s Good Morning America.

But there’s no evidence for Obama’s claim. Even among Democratic respondents, only 27 percent want increased immigration, said the Gallup survey of 1,027 respondents.

More Americans would decrease legal immigration: Poll
June 27, 2014

By a nearly two-to-one margin, Americans believe legal immigration should be decreased rather than increased, according to a poll released Friday by Gallup.

41 percent of respondents say immigration should be decreased, while only 22 percent believe it should be increased. 33 percent say it should be kept at its present level.

Now for the relvant information. While this troll bashes Obama on a non-issue (increased immigration), the real issue is what to do with those who are here. A collection of 20 polls shows that Americans by a 2-1 margin support a path to legalization. THAT'S what the President has been supporting. Increased immigration? Trolls make up their own issues and then roll with it. Ignorance is killing this country, and this clown is simply providing proof.

Obama Ranked ‘Worst President’ Since World War II
July 02, 2014

President Obama reached a new milestone, but not one he’s likely to tout. According to a Quinnipiac University poll, Obama ranks as the worst president since World War II.

When presented with a list of presidents since Harry S Truman and asked which they would consider “the worst,” 33 percent of respondents chose Obama.

The president surpassed his predecessor, George W. Bush, by 5 points.
“Over the span of 69 years of American history and 12 presidencies, President Barack Obama finds himself with President George W. Bush at the bottom of the popularity barrel,” Tim Malloy, assistant director of the Quinnipiac University poll, said in a press release.
