A 33-year-old man died early Sunday in a vehicle accident in Hanover, as Hurricane Irene started pounding the area, Hanover Police are reporting.

I hope everyone else is staying safe and I really hate saying this, but... "I hope you have all seen that wearing a seat belt is not just recommended but, necessary... If he had been wearing a seat belt he probably wouldn't have sustained as many blunt force traumas and may still be with us..." I once again am saddened for the loss his family and friends are experiencing... There are people out there that are thinking of you in this dark time...

But he is gone and maybe this will teach others to use their unspeakable I dare not speak its name,,,,Seat Belt. Its sad but he made a mistake, he should have known or been taught better, sad that a single mistake cost him his life. I WISH I had rode the short bus, I hear those chicks are easy to pick up.

I have seen more accidents including fatal accidents than I care to talk about and have seen people kiled belted and unbelted. This particular case with the damage to the drivers side door was the cause of the traumatic injury. Find something else to be a judge of rather than a families loss.

I can't believe how some fellow human beings can be so uncaring and just plain rude during a families loss. I doubt they would like their family member being criticized if they were to pass away. I apologize for their ridiculous and untimely comments. My heart goes out to the family. South Western has taking a pretty big hit this year with Thane, then Josh Hertz, and now Ben Bynaker. I hope your family is starting to find some peace. RIP Thane.
