Unbelievable!...Not!...Biglerv ille's wrestling coach Bob Gano behaved in a very similar manner some time before we moved to the district in the early part of 2001-02. Had I known that he had been found in the same situation. Unconscious in a drunken stupor in his "PATROL CAR". Yes, I said PATROL CAR! I might have reconsidered the relocation. Imagine my horror to find this out. After going directly to the AD, the rumors I heard were indeed true. And he was allowed and encouraged to continue coaching, being an influence on our boys. I might add that smoking, drugs, and drinking were and still are reason to be PERMENANTLY cut from the team. But the AD stated that he had paid his fines and did community service, so that made it all ok. I was shocked, and still am to relive that situation. This police guy will pay the price, because the internet now gives us immediate access to these things. Back then, it was still possible to cover this up and sweep it under the rug. I am sick to my stomache with this issue. I was raised to trust and respect law enforcement. I'm almost speechless. What is our world and communities coming too?

What world are you living in? What about the crimes in our churches and schools where. Our children are every day. Not that this is right but let's face it this cop made the wrong person mad, when was the last time you seen a State Cop on a country road much less when you need one.

Renee-are you serious? You would not have moved into the Upper Adams School District because the Wrestling Coach had been arrested for DUI in 1998? Do your kids even wrestle? Do you even know Bob Gano? I'm sorry, but, I don't think it's a bad thing for kids to be excuded from a team for drinking, smoking, or doing drugs. Do you think he was encouraged to keep coaching in 1998 because he wasn't doing good things for the kids in that District? Take your holier than thou attitude and move to Bermudian Springs where they let their kids participate at all costs! The story that you commented on had nothing to do with Bob and what happened almost 15 years ago.

Well Mr. "Plumber". I am PROUD to say my boyscertainly wrestled! And even made the state ranks. I've been around Gano, I've seen and heard how he "coaches". Please? So don't profess to know me. And assuming things just makes you the idiot. Good ole "BOB", is guilty of those DUI charges. Read up on it in case your memory has failed you. I would be happy to send you the written proof. Or was he wrongly accused in your world? I support our children, our athletes, as well as our educators. Those individuals that work with our children, have a RESPONSIBILITY to those children to set good examples and be above REPROACH. Just as we as parents have the same responsibility. It's just too bad that you evidently don't believe in the same. And if you think your big and bad enough to make the truth go away. Have at it. Should I send the court documents to you to refresh you memory? Pah! You are the type of person I would've not permitted my kids to be around. Oh, and to answer you other question, do I know Bob Gano? I sure did. I gave him a chance to show me he either had learned from his behavior and charges or if he was in fact the worse for it. It's sad to have to say the later. Some people just can't save themselves with the extra rope we give them, and they continue to hang themselves with it, and take others down with them. Perhaps you should purchase a life preserver? Or just let your first and only priority be the SAFETY AND INFLUENCE of our children.

I'm living in the present! And yes, it's rampant! It's a shame, and we need to stand up to the bullies and make a change.
