Yes, you are right I am entitled to my opinion just like you are. A child is a gift from God. Not every woman can have one. Why kill the baby because you dont want the baby. What did the baby do to you? The ways they kill babies are so sad! You definitly should check this website out! http://scottthong.wordpress.com/2009/03/11/th...
Anyway it is a very sad subject. a subject that not every one will agree on!!

I don't find it sad at all, but you're entitled to your opinion. I just don't happen to agree with it.
Also, I don't intend to remain celibate for the rest of my life because I'm DONE with procreation. Having been through one very difficult pregnancy and birth, I can honestly say that PREGNANCY SUCKS, and I have no intention of getting pregnant again. I so love NOT being pregnant.

1. You're the one implying (incorrectly, I might add) that all women regret getting an abortion. The material at the link I provided shows that NOT all women regret getting an abortion. They just regret that they got pregnant in the first place. Whether or not you read any of it is up to you.
2. It doesn't matter what YOU think when it comes to another woman's pregnancy. If SHE doesn't want to continue it, none of your arrogant "should's" and "should not's" are going to make any difference. The fact is that it IS each woman's decision to continue a pregnancy or not. The male does NOT get to make the final choice, and you can whine about that all you want as well. Men who are anti-abortion need to have the "what would you do if you got pregnant" conversation BEFORE sex occurs, not after. If he he can't be bothered to do that, too bad. After the sperm deposit has been made, he no longer has any say in the matter.
1. You're implying that I'm implying ALL women regret it. I said I've KNOWN SOME. You are yourself, incorrect.

2. It's ok for YOU to JUSTIFY murder as YOU see fit. It should be no one's choice to end someone else's life.

Ok, Sherri? I know it's you. Writing style gives it away.

Brittany, has it crossed your mind that perhaps God planned infertility for some couples? That perhaps thinking another woman's "gift" is not necessarily up for grabs? Women that have abortions w/regret seem to equal the number of women that have given up for adoption w/regret, which also seems to equal the number of women that are sorry they ever gave birth to a child(ren).

Also, and this might be harsh, but adopted children do not always end up living in a "happily ever after". Has that ever crossed your mind?

The link is dated, but this popped for me: "Adopted children have suffered more than most from being treated as possessions. For too long adoption has been used, not as a means of finding homes for children who have lost their parents, but as a means of procuring babies for childless couples who want to "have children"."

I wasn't talking about you. You answered a post I made to Vox concerning another poster CC. He made the comment about using guns.

I do not know how anyone else thinks and I do not understand why you think I assume I do.
I am correct in my posts since my posts reflect MY beliefs and I am absolutely sure I know how I believe. I assume your posts are equally reflective of your beliefs.

You just do not like me and that is ok. But stop pretending to have some kind of debate with me since you are clearly not interested in that, you simply want to argue with me. I can post things that you feel are correct but you are so focused in your anger or whatever it is you have regarding me that you wouldn't admit it.

I will not take my words, twisted or otherwise and go anywhere. I will continue to post on Topix as long as I find it enjoyable and if that makes you unhappy or uncomfortable then that is something you have to deal with.

The reality of it is Anonymous is I really must be posting things that you just cannot face in yourself. For someone who doesn't even know you, I certainly seem to be able to get under your skin.
I find that highly amusing. You need to take a long hard look in the mirror and I bet you will find me looking back at you.:)

The same assumptions I make are the same you're throwing down. After all, you know exactly how everyone thinks and are absolutely correct on all fronts of all subjects.
HOWEVER I didn't REFER to ANYTHING about USING guns on ANYONE. So YOU can take YOUR twisted words and GO somewhere ELSE with them.

I'm not Ocean, regardless of the posting style.

Again, you assume and yet you call me elitist.

Funny.

Did you miss the part where I said "I so love NOT being pregnant?" I've had my one child BY CHOICE and I stopped there. Since I was very lucky and my contraception never failed, I've never had an UNWANTED pregnancy, so abortion was NEVER necessary for me.

As far as your "a child is a gift from god" line, that is strictly BELIEF, not fact. Pregnancy is NOT a gift to a woman who never wanted pregnancy or children. Since it is the woman who assumes all the health risks of continuing the pregnancy to term, ONLY the woman who is pregnant chooses whether to continue it or not.

1. Okay, so I was incorrect on that one. My bad.

2. Your "should's" are IRRELEVANT to any woman who doesn't want to stay pregnant and give birth. Live with it.

I'm not Sherri, by the way. More than one poster can use the same posting style, in case you weren't aware of it.

If you are a heartless gutless murderer, of course you wouldn't find killing babies sad.
Killing babies is ILLEGAL, "genius." Most rational people know that already. If you believe people are "killing babies" at a women's clinic, by all means notify the local police.

This is pure melodrama. Women don't have abortions to punish the fetus. They have abortions because they don't want to remain pregnant, period.

Yeah, that's just an inconvenient side effect. Pay no attention to that.

Besides, why let a little thing like a chopped, mutilated, and vacuumed baby human being stop you from removing an inconvenience from your life? Why let a little thing like that get in the way? Let the good times roll!

(an "inconvenience" you created through your own irresponsibility in the first place, by the way)

I am the counter protester who stood out in the rain and the cold and the snow to defend the liberty of the women of America. the right to choose for yourself what to do with your body is called: liberty. Our Constitution and our Declaration of Independence both guarantee liberty, but that liberty must be defended from attacks by religious organizations such as the 40 days for life crowd, they who seek to turn the laws of their religion into the laws of our land. we cannot ever allow one group to dictate what we are to do with our bodies. if we do not fight attacks on our liberty, the next thing we know, the fundamentalist Christians will be banning tattoos and unusual haircuts (as these also have to do with the body). it is refreshing to see so many people talking about the 2011 Hanover square sign wars! hurrah. Daily Horoscope for May 22

Aquarius

Someone is confused and muddled today, making it difficult to talk for long without becoming equally bemused. Avoid making decisions or researching important information, because there's a strong possibility of getting crossed wires, or talking at cross purposes. A memory may also be distorted now, leading to mix-ups or bewilderment.
