Well...Is the Santa Clara "Police" Department REALLY a functional agency? Just ask the County that question. Is the GC Jail REALLY a functional organization? Consider how many "Directors" it's gone through (position still open as of this writing), how many staff have been terminated and/or gotten into serious trouble on and off the job.

I realize this thread is ancient, but like Bacon Bitz I have also seen this guy around town working for Snekeker* tree removal services. I believe the molested child was a direct relative of Howie Morales, and being who the aggressor's adoptive father is, it seems as if this thing was swept under the rug. What a crying shame man...poor kid's life so greatly affected and the story being kept on the down low for reputation protecting for the newest Gov. candidate.

It's amazing that a person in a position like a police officer can molest a child and the whole thing gets swept under the rug. Welcome to Grant County.

a direct relative of senator Howie morales . I doubt this will be swept under the rug. they must think estevan arizaga is innocent otherwise he would be - in the jail he once worked in.. they did not want to humiliate the x-cop.and why is daddy not only bailing him out . Dr. arizaga is announcing that he has several homes his son can stay in including one near his practice. god forbid someone come after him, and he is afraid because he asked judge laney to ask that the victims family not say nothing to him. the answer was no.in such a small town. he needs to hide his face.

When I lived in Silver City for college there was a wonderful professor, a great teacher, good person. She made a wrong turn and got pulled over. The police slammed her head against the car, because she asked questions. She told the class of the incident and left forever. My friend in Arenas Valley was abused and her, and her 11 yr. old son were handcuffed for trying to help an injured horse who was on an officers relatives property. She was a kind, professional person and the child as sweet as they come. They soon left Silver. The law enforcement is the WORST ever. I worked my internship at a state agency where a child turned herself in for being molested by a relative who was head of Probation Dept. and he never got charged. I still have a few friends in SC. I think it is a dangerous place to live.

In 1984 there was a criminal case filed in grant co. n.m. involving a12 yr. old female. who gave birth. the father was 24. he also had a relative working as a silver city n.m. police officer. and also got away with it. this came after a blood test clearly identified him as the father. their defense was she liked it. the attorney that handled the case was killed in a small plane crash over California .cocaine was found on board. and the entire case was quickly forgot about . In TEXAS he would still be in prison. silver city n.m. is unreal.

Gee. Looks like a bad cop can get away with anything these days. Especially if they are politically connected enough to make judges and DA's step back and do nothing.
