They should be in trouble. It's called breaking and entering. But seems they come from well-off families somehow the charges will be dropped.

You people are so full of sh*t..
Now when the so called "well to do" (i.e white kids) commit crimes (felonies-breaking and entering, theft etc)it's not a crime but a "prank", teenage stupidity"?
What angers me most is the way the news is covering the story like these teenage criminals are little darlings that made a kid mistake- and the parents have the nerve to get on tv and ask why their 17year olds are being charged with anything at all..
This was bigger than just looking over someone's shoulder for answers during a test but a planned robbery and should be treated as such..
Had the students been named Shaniqua or Devonte, they would be facing felony charges and this wouldn't be a story.. not only that- they would've been charged as adults.... I say throw the book at them the way you do with so many or our blacks and hispanics kids (who can't afford to have "teenage pranks")- prove to the world that justice is color-blind-- which we all know is not.

Did you see the one where the father is almost crying say his son will do community service? What a joke. It's called breaking and entering. They also stole tests, little punks need to be in trouble.

Can't or smoke until you are 18, can't vote until you are 18, can't go to war until you are 18, can't drink until you are 21, etc..etc..the reason: because you mind does not process as an adults...rich or poor, they are still kids, stupid kids, but kids...they did not murder anyone...the should be punished but imprisoned or have their lives destroyed. All of you parents who are saying, NOT MY KID, think twice. Ask your older children what is the stupidest thing you ever did, and if the are honest, it was probably against the law, and if they had got caught, they would probably not be were they are. The school should have handled it: suspended them, given them zeros, community service, and other stuff. Don't be so high and mighty!
