Yes, two old people that are being reconized by how much wisdom they got to endure on this earth of hatred and evil like within yourself. And with the thinking you endure you probably won't live past -- well we'll see. So when your time come RIP

You really appreciate just how long they lived when you consider that most people barely make it to 80. They are 30+ years older. But does anyone else think its weird to be a "gerontology consultant" who sits around trying to get old people to meet each other. Thats just a little too creepy for me.

I think it kinda makes sense. I mean, it's not like there's many people even close to their own age around any more.'Cause they're dead.

I for one never want the 'World's Oldest Person' title. No one ever has it for very long.....

that is just disgusting. hilarious, but disgusting! it's a good thing you made me laugh because i was too Too TOO ticked off that newspaper space is being wasted on this. can't this journalist use the time it took him to put this fluff together to find out if george bush is really discontinuing our efforts to train iraqis to be their own army? is this story that wouldn't have been possible if one of the women had farted too hard in the hall and blew herself apart before she could meet the other old as dirt diva really more important than the stand up stand down stance being stamped out? oh, the air is too thin up here on my high horse!

So why don't you get off it, already. This is a local story, by a local reporter, who likely doesn't have the resources to research the story you mention. Maybe you should be wondering why the NY Times, Washington Post, etc, aren't researching that. If it's true, it's an interesting story.

People complain all the time about there "not being enough good news in the paper, it's all gloom and doom" and then when something like this comes along, wonder why there isn't enough reporting about the real news. Frankly, I'm glad that this story was in the paper, in a rather prominent place.

because it is an excellent vantage point. i am not a reporter and i have access to the information so his being local is no excuse. and i don't care about what other papers in other states report. i don't live there. i don't subscribe to them. 2 old people isn't good news. it isn't even new. they were the 2 oldest people last year. and next year, there will probably be 2 new old people next year. i mean they are OLD that is the exact opposite of new. good news would be that someone has discovered a cure for anti-semitism and vagrancy. you just seem desperate to pick a fight with me after i offered an olive branch. that makes me pout.

Please tell me that you know that the NY Times and Washington Post are two of the most respected papers in America, if not the...ya know what. Never mind. I'm not going to get into a battle of the wits with you...not when you come to it so woefully unarmed.

again, that was just childish. of course i know those papers are popular and whatnot. that has nothing to do with my reading them. just because someone else said they are bastions of information doesn't mean i have to believe them or hold my local paper to a lower standard. it displeases me that you are behaving so poorly. i obviously keep my wits about me at all times. i have never come off as ignorant. maybe pompous, maybe snotty but not stupid. it is lame of you to make such a groundless accusation when it is patently untrue. shame on you.
