The place is a joke at best! I use to be a team leader there until I realized how much crazy bullshit goes on. I had to quit and find something better. 95% of the employees are lucky if they know how to spell their own names. MPP screws over the little bit of good help they have and give promotions to the people they should be firing just because they know how to kiss some serious ass. Its nothing more than just a place to work if you can't find a real job.

My husband works there and has since 2008. He has mentioned many times about the drug use that goes on at this place. It's just crazy. And it seems like a few times a month he is telling about about someone either dying or who was put in the hospital. Everytime he leaves for work I worry. But he has a lot of nice things to say about a lot of people there. He is a laid back kind of guy so if he can put up with the chaos I guess it must be an okay place to work lol

Honestly it's not a horrible place to work. Most people are really nice. It's gets a little bit gossipy but most places are like that. I'm a fairly attractive girl and I've been working here a while now and don't get hit on. Only the girls who come off as easy or sluts get hit on all the time. Just be nice and people will be nice back.

There. are good things about mpp and bad number one bad is when there are opening in mpp you can get it even if you'll been there 15years because management always has a friend or family. member. that needs a job even the plant manger is. guilty. he just got his family. member on and hes a child predator. and is teaching kids in high school for the summer.
An Adult in Madison

After reading a few pages of this thread I must say I am quite shocked. Perhaps the drama, rumors, bickering, and such would stop of the employees realized they are ADULTS and act as such. And I thought Grote was bad, not even close to what I read on here! As far as the "former convict" working there, do you seriously think that MPP Is the ONLY company in Madison which employes those with a record? Hell, you better not run through a local restaurant to eat on break if that sort of thing bothers you, over 1/2 of the local fast food places all utilize the current inmates in the work release program. From someone who knew her as a kid, knows her as an adult... funny how some of you are passing judgement on her when you don't even know the "role" she had in the issue. Truth is, could have happened to ANY of us, just as you morons can't control what others do as an adult, neither could she as a CHILD. Wrong place, wrong time, wrong people... served time for what occurred and has lived a very clean, productive life as a positive role model since. Educate yourselves, grow up and act like adults. If you can't, at least channel in the manners your parents tried so hard to instill into you for years and simply keep your mouth shut about things you know nothing of. And she EARNED her current job title/position. Instead of being petty and hiding behind your keyboard griping, why not follow in her footsteps, work hard, don't call in, show up on time, follow direction and focus on the work vs. those around you and the gossip and MAYBE you can advance in the company as well. Perhaps MPP needs to open a "Kiddie corner" for time outs for those who have yet to comprehend what being an adult is and how they should act when on the clock. As for the drugs, truth is if YOU know someone who is on drugs while working there yet do nothing, say nothing regardless what job title they have then YOU are part of the PROBLEM.

I agree to a point .when ur a child u make mistakes you just better yourself and learn from them ..there are convicts everywhere. but. i have a problem with sexual. abuse. in a child. and that only being a sexual. Offender who has to register at the police station. I understand making mistakes but not that kind and as far as drugs there are everywhere any more ... and i read a lot of the comments on here. my own opinion is mpp should. hire inside the factory first !!!!'I'm sure most of the people they bring in have to be trained anyway . If an employee give a company years of there life they deserve the chance. to move up first no should be hired. outside of the plant everyone needs to start at the bottom. IKE you start out cleaning. I also read the comment under union mpp. Some ways it would be good and someways bad at least with union employees would come before out side hiring. and they should give profit sharing. if arvin sango can do it i would think mpp is equal to them. so mpp needs to STEP UP FOR ALL EMPLOYEES. maybe they need to rethink there. management. and hire some of the big guys from ARVIN SANGO to help get it done !!!'
