Exactly my point. In the real world, every town has its struggles. Jobs are hard to find everywhere. It's a nationwide problem. There are many places that are far worse than Madison. I'm not trying to fight with you, I'm just giving you my perspective.
chrissy, go on living in your dream world, its not just the struggles, its the meth, crack, herion, theft that the police dont even file a report on, as well as other crimes. the corruptness, the harrasment, the lies, i could go on and on. the schools, the jobs, the bullies, its not just ok anymore, and to be accepted, time for change! out of the 20,000 people in this town, would be curiou to know how many are on probation and having to pay out the butt for crimes they didnt comitt, yes....every town has its struggles, but dont try to make people think this one is all perfect...its horrible...go ask the businesses how their doing...the town want to be stuck in the past at all cost to its residents!! wake up!

I like your passion but I'm not sure why you and chad are being so aggressive. I never said this town is even close to perfect. I am we'll aware of the issues in our community. You should use that passion to make a difference.

this town wont let anyone make a difference. im sure you read in the paper how madison ranks for people staying here. they dont stay here, those of us stuck here for now would love to see change. the town officials dont want change, or anything better for anyone, when everyones gone guess they will know they made huge mistakes.

Anyone who wants to make a difference can. Tired if the city cops turning a blind eye? Well you know they answer to people above them so go above them. The drugs well that's an everywhere problem. Their are several jobs out there some just require to work a ton and as crappy as it is it can be done. I have a pretty good job here where I live and worked 2-3 lower paying jobs till I landed it. The problem with the world is everyone wants to complain about things but never want to man up and do what needs to be done to change their life. Easy way out I guess

Chrissy, you have a great attitude and way of expressing yourself. That is what Madison needs more of. It's a great little town, not separated from the realities of modern life, and I'd rank it above most that I've visited in 10 countries and 48 states. Those living in Madison should count their blessings.

Madison has some serious problems, the biggest being the same jobs (or lack of) and no vision allowed to create a positive change for the good of the masses. Only the special interests which include those on gvt payroll, get to call the shots or the big cheeses in the few large corporations, to protect their low payed labor force. There hasn't been crap for change in 30 years here. Same faces, same non-action, same BS day in and day out.

Unless you have lots of money, are retired on a decent income, don't care if all your children move far away... look elsewhere.

This town is locked up in the past with the same names that control it. Oh and if you own downtown you have to ask the historic people to take a piss.

Madison don't have much but its not all that horrible its all about who you choose to socialize with. Yeah there are a bunch of druggies but everywhere has that they just get noticed more in a small town. But you don't see people going around doing drive by and getting murdered everyday. It isn't the greatest but its better then some places
