Has The Miner's Table gone out of business? They do not answer their phone and the Closed sign is on the door. Also, no notice is posted on the door. If they were just taking a break you'd think they'd hang up more signs, including one on their own door!

At the post office, on the bulletin board there, there's a sign posted with the hours of the Miner's Table,(it is/was on a red piece of paper).

The ONLY days that restuarant is open is on Mondays and Tuesdays, and I can't recall what the hours were.

Seems to me like that business must be kind of like a hobby to the owners. I just don't understand why anyone who would recently open a business, decide to only be open for 2 days out of the week.

I think it's a great place to eat, but I find it rather discouraging when the public can't depend on the businesses in town,(example: they're never open when you want them to be/need them to be).

While I understand your point of view, as a former business owner myself, I can tell you that sometimes things come up in one's personal life that take precedence over your business.

Who knows why they have been closed? Maybe family matters needed attending.

I think they must not be making any $$$$$.
If you think about it. They have been open on
many occasions and ZERO customers. The Recession
is wiping folks out. Maybe they want to close?

Even if family matters come up, other businesses do their customers a courtesy and post a notice on their door.

I went by today, a Monday, and they weren't open. They have great food, but what good are they to a customer if the customers don't know when they are open? I would sooner give my business to Dingy Dan's, which has inferior food, because I know when they will be open and when not.

No I don't. ISP's are odd, they bounce around. A couple of times I was listed as posting from Kansas. I'm not from Kansas or Colorado. If I was, you might say I was a dedicated fan of The Miner's Table.

Glad you had a good lunch! I didn't say they were out of business. I asked if they were because they hadn't been open. If their hours aren't posted on their door it's hard to know when they are open. Not everyone goes to the Post Office.

Just to help you out on this one, being "out of business" means that they don't open back up in a few days. It means they *never* open again. That's what that means. Hence, they aren't out of business.

Hope this helps. ; )

Thanks, and now I'll help you. A screen name of "out of business" isn't a statement that the establishment in question is out of business. If Topix would allow punctuation characters in a screen name, there would have been a question mark after Business.

It's good to help each other this way.
