The young man in question was asked to sit down after suspiciously entering and exiting the boys restroom several times. Once he was asked to make a choice to leave or watch the game, he hid in the restroom and wouldn't come out. He was, along with several others that evening, asked to watch the game or leave. The kids who were running around the multi-purpose room are just that: kids. They are much younger than the young man in question and weren't there to influence the same seventh grader that the high school kids and current graduates have helped take a wrong turn. Number one, the young man (and I'll admit, many others) do not need to use the high school lunchroom as a place to hang out and back talk to adults. What's funny is that he is a dropout and shouldn't even have the opportunity to come to the games. Yes, it's a free country, but if the school wasn't good enough for him to attend, then he shouldn't bother coming at all.

With all that said, it is true that the person on crowd control was rude and probably out of line. I happened to witness her try to get help from the administration, and he did nothing. That's when the off-duty officer (who now works as a sheriff) decided to jump in. He, too, was out of line. This simply boils down to the young man having zero respect to begin with and TWO adults who fit the same category. The teachers in Hanna are NOT bullies and have to put up with more than anyone will ever know. I know this because my child attends the school and continually comes home to tell me stories about how disrespectful many of the students are to them. He also says that the teachers, in no way, bully the kids. In fact, he said that there are several who do everything in their power to help the kids at HEM. This simply boils down to three people on a power trip, and nothing else.

I am a student at H.E.M. and I can say it is not true that the teachers are bullies. We might have some teachers that are too easy on kids, but none of them are bullies. I know the person you are all talking about and she is an aide. She thinks she's pretty tough and I also know that she is one of the only adults at H.E.M. that I don't like. We have some awesome teachers and some that aren't that great. But for the most part, our teachers are really good. When it comes to the boy that got in trouble, he was always horrible in class. I watched him many times be disrespectful to the teachers, even when all they did was ask him to get to work. He was also horrible to some of us and he was and is a terrible influence on some of the younger kids. I don't know what exactly happened that night he broke the window, but it doesn't surprise me at all that the aide and him got into it. I agree with the person that wrote about them being on a power trip. The boy has always tried to be tough but he looks like a fool when he comes to our school and acts like that. I'm sick and tired of people cutting our school, teachers, and students down. So many of the people that complain have no value in education and spend most of their time finding excuses for their kids when it's their kids that are the problem. The majority of our kids are great, but their are some that are terrible. Our teachers do the best they can and deserve credit for putting up with the ones that are so bad to them. In fact, I used to be pretty terrible to them, but I realized how stupid I looked. So instead of making judgments on our school, get off your butts and try to make positive changes to our town like most of the teachers (at the high school and the elementary schools) do.

Stand up to a teacher and you end up in jail. There is no fair justice in Carbon County.

He works for the Sheriff's Dept. So that over rules Hanna PD. SO NO LAW WAS BROKEN!!!!! Maybe you should quite breaking the law! Then the so called cops will leave you alone! Its not the "good old boys club" anymore! Don't like it, then move.
Any one know Bill? He was claiming to be an off duty police officer. I heard he had quit the Hanna Police Department. If that's true impersonating a police officer is supposed to be a crime. Does the Hanna cops believe in arresting the real criminals or do they just like arresting teens
