As most of you know, the local grocery store is closing its doors. Now we will have to shop in laramie or rawlins. This town really needs something positive to happen very soon or our properties will be worth nothing and our town government will no longer be able to operate. The Governer has already proposed cutting the money the state gives to town by 60 percent. With no tax base and no outside funding, we may become a ghostown before this decade is over.

do we really need this many cops to police the few people that are left? should we really be paying for all that law enforcement for so little crime? oh yes, that's right, we need to pay to enforce the unenforceable speed limits which are against state law.

That is what happens when the sorry folks that did not want to clean up the town. The REFUSED to tear down the junk houses, haul away the valuable cars, Mow their weeds, plus paint their
homes.

Whats the point? THe LOSERS will stay in this
rat hole and the WINNERS will leave to find the
American dream. We are leaving soon as well.

Thats why they call me Smart Steve.

I understand your fear of losing your grocery store. At least you care enough to voice your concerns. My comminity took for granted our store's owner. When he finally retired the town was forntuate to see the business sold to two young guys as inexperienced as they are instead of the bank and community develment offering to back the owner's assistant manger who was capable of taking the business but lacked funding. Word of your store travels fast in retail circles. This same assistant manger is interested in your Food Mart. I know this because, I'm his mother. Last night he dragged me out of bed at 3:00 am to look at Hanna, Wy. A decent image of your downtown or plaza where the store is located would be appreciated.

why would anyone stupidly put money into a store like that.do you think you can make it profitable as the town looses population and the prices were sky high as it was.

when town hall wont even support the local grocery store then the idiots on the council and the retarded mayor can figure out how all the seniors are gonna go to town for groceries.

I know what you mean, everytime you read the update, they spent a few bucks at the store but a lot out of town. I hope all of you loyal wal-mart grocery shoppers enjoy having to get your milk and bread there too.

We all know that the store has closed as of today. Instead of everyone griping about it why dont everyone pitched in and help your neighbors out. When I was a caretaker for all the elderly here in town thats what I would do. No matter if it was here in Hanna, Rawlins, or Laramie I would do my best to help them. I dont want to say that Im a goody to shoe but thats what I would do. I really dont think that our town is going to be without a store for long. Thats the problem with small towns, things like this happend and everyone freaks out then want to griped about everything. Be a good person and volunteer if your going to Rawlins ask someone if they need anything believe me they would really apprecate it more than you think. I always say what comes around goes around. May god bless everyone that helps your neighbor.
