Highway 198 widening project between Visalia and Hanford awarded funds

The California Transportation Commission has awarded $77 million in Proposition 1B funds to widen Highway 198 between Visalia and Hanford.

Are the powers completely oblivious to the obvious in the San Joaquin Valley. Hello! Tule fog. Ever heard of it. What a rotten, no stupid time to start road work and construction on a busy thoroughfare called Hwy 198 in November... the beginning of the rainy aka foggy season. Think about it people... if you have lived here more than 3 months. Not a good idea. maybe it will be delayed... like everything else.

AS long as it has taken them to get to this, which was needed 20 years ago, I dont care WHAT time of year they work on it, as long as they finish it, and sometime soon. It is LONG overdue, just like they need to finish the last 5 miles of 41 north to fresno from Lemoore.
