My husband and I own a house on Cadosia Road in Hancock. We are in New Jersey and have talked with two different police people on the phone. All we could get out of them is that Hancock is EXTREMELY FLOODED and there is NO WAY we could get there from here tonight. Anyone have ANY pictures, information, etc you could share with us on the Hancock Area? Or somewhere we can go online to get information?

Just wanted to let everyone know we've heard from our neighbors in Hancock. Their house is COMPLETELY gone ... our land across the road is underwater ... our house has at least no windows (the neighbor was vague when my husband asked about the damages to our house - makes us wonder if their house took out part of our house ...). We have to try to get up there to see it, but the neighbor doubts we'll be able too ... all the roads are GONE!

Just do a search for the local news station in Binghamton. There is some great video of Hancock, which shows how severe it really is. If I were you, I would just stay in NJ. There is not much you can do to get there (Rt. 17 closed). and not much you can do when you do get there. If it is not life threatening, don't worry.
My father is just outside of Hancock without electric, phone, and limited fuel, and no way to get out. He is just trying to ride it out himself.
