I understand not releasing the juveniles' names, but they could at least release the names of the parents. No doubt, they have 4+ kids anyway, so just knowing the parents' names isn't going to help anyone in figuring out which specific kids are the hooligans.

Ah well, I'm sure these kids will take this slap on the wrist and grow up to be doctors, like Dr. Dre etc.

Hold the parents accountable and have them pay for any and all damages. further, lock up the young culprits, if they are guilty. Unfortunately, we can't cut off their hands.(but would be a good idea for all the pain and suffering they have caused).

Why is it that these kids are not lock up after being caught? They knew what they where doing, I hope there's not a weak a-s-s judge there like the one's we have in Honolulu.

not much will happen as the parents already show a lack of supervision... and what is the age for driving? another lack of supervision..send tham to Koolau in Kailua and let them see how tough they really are!

"send tham to Koolau in Kailua and let them see how tough they really are!"

No, keep them on Kauai. You don't want us coming over on the SuperFerry & we don't want you sending your trash over here!

More weak parenting and weak judges. Always a bad combo.

Sounds like small potatoes. Just give em 40 hours community service. If they are smart they will learn their lesson, if not, they will pay later in life by getting into more trouble.

So, in summary, the suggestions you idiots offer for these underage burglars and car thieves is to cut off their hands, identify their parents, punish their parents, or lock the boys up in HYCF where they will pick up the training they need to become more effective felons.

I must admit, I never knew how many stupid people were walking around in this world until I got on the Internet. Amazing

Irony, wait till it happen to you and we'll see how you like it. Kids today don't understand the real world, and the rules that comes with it. Just because their a bunch of Juv's they think they can get away with it, WRONG! Whats good for the geese is good for the gander. This is as liberal as it gets. PS, I like the SuperFerry post. Keep them hoodlums on Kauai :-)!

"Police... recovered cash from crimes committed at Waimea Plantation Cottages and High School"?

What, crime is so bad on Kauai that businesses and public schools conduct their business using numbered and marked currency for positive ID in case it's recovered?

So Happy, what is your worthwhile suggestion to the problem? What should we do with them?

Happy Thanksgiving!
